36. Truth reveals itself

Athena

Tangerine gold glimmered through the glassy window, specks of yellow sunlight splashed with floating cotton balls handing in the ominous sky.

The unforgiving sun at the head of the universe and far from the horizon made it clear that it was late noon. I fluttered opened my eyes and groaned as my body was squished under a heavy weight.

My eyes widened in alarm when i saw something has made my body immobile only to see the luscious mop of black hair laying on my chest.

I didn't even need to think again because even if I was blind, only by smelling the mouthwatering smell i could i have told that he was Andrew.

But what is he doing here?? Then i remembered everything. What happened last night. But why did he came to rescue. Was it because of Amelia?? I really don't know and it's better i never find out.

One of his muscular arms caged my waist. He seemed in utter peace, his chest rhythmically rising and falling in a smooth pattern.

The room seemed in a peace with grey walls with golden pattin vicinity and a small moon hanging above the bed.

As soon as the sunlight reached past the threshold the window shuttered closed automatically with a glazed black blocking thr harsh sunlight.

"Athena " i was brought back to reality when I heard his voice.
"You scared so much" he said. I can hear concern in his voice. But i don't care about it.

"I didn't told you to be scared " i replied while removing his arms around my waist. This is wrong. I shouldn't share a bed with him.

"You should not left like that" he said. Have he lost his mind
"Then what do you expect from me, to be happy when my life has been ruined " i snapped at him.
"Athena i am sorry " he said
"Keep your sorry to yourself. I don't need it and do me a favor don't show me your face ever again " i said and stood up to leave.

"Where are you going " he asks
"Home" i replied
"Athena you're sick..you need to rest " he said
"You don't have to worry about me. I have a family who can take care of me" i said. I can see hurt in his eyes but i don't care about it. This is nothing in comparison to about he did with me.

"Athena stop this drama ok " he shouted
"I am not doing any drama " i said sternly.

"Athena don't act so innocent i know everything " he said
"What do you mean by that??" I asked

"You were the one who suggested to get married to me my Grandpa right?? You tried to separate me from Amelia by tying me in a Marriage " he said angrily.

What the hell is wrong with him?? Why is he saying that.

"I didn't suggested this" i said
"Then who did??" He asks

"Don't tell me that you didn't knew that we were betrothed " i said. He was shocked will be an understatement.
"What??" He said.
"Didn't your grandfather informed you about it " i asked him.
But i already knew his answer.
I can't believe it his grandfather didn't inform him about this. How can the elder play with our lives like this??

Wait a second the way Andrew behaved with me after our engagement was because of this.

"Andrew was this the reason behind your unusual behavior after our engagement " i asked him. But he didn't replied anything and just bowed down his head.

"I can't believe this Andrew. You never loved me ...you just did all this to take revenge on something that i have no idea about " i said. Tears are rolling down my eyes.
