People say time heals everything but they are wrong. Time never heals anything it only deepens the wound.
One week is not more or less for me to forget what happened at the time of the picnic. There was only two options for me either i forget everything and behave like nothing happened or i go confront the person i have doubt on.
But right now both the options looks impossible for me. I sighed and decided to take a shower. I wore a ripped jeans and a oversized t shirt.
I walked downstairs and sat down on the sofa. I haven't seen Ashton after the picnic. It has been more than a week. I have a feeling that he is upto something but there is very little i can do anything about it.
I heard the sound of heel clicking. I turned around and found Evelyn walking downstairs in her formal clothes. "Are you going to office?? But today is Saturday right?" I asked "Yes but i have many pending cases that i need to complete so i am doing overtime " "Ok..."
"By the way are you going to visit mom today?" She asks. Oh yeah....it has been so long since i sat down with mom and had a cup of tea. "Yes....but why are you asking??Are you going to give us a company too??" "Nope i have interested in having a cup of tea with mom. As you know it's not my cup of tea" i laughed at her joke. Evelyn knows how to make my day.
"This is one is actually nice don't you think?" She asks. I nodded my head in yes. "Actually i needs mom's signature of some documents " she said. "Get the documents signed at office " i said. "Yea...i would but from past 1 week she hasn't come to office " she said That's weird mom hardly take any day off.
"Ok i will get it signed " i said. She said her goodbye and kept the documents on the coffee table that needs to get signed.
Mom hardly takes any day off. If she isn't coming to office for past 1 week it is matter of concern. Is she sick?? Oh God!!! I should stop overthinking. First i will complete my office work and then in evening i will visit mom and also get the documents signed. That's a perfect plan!!
I spent the whole day in my study room completing my pending work. I even instructed the maid to serve my lunch in the study room. It was around 4 when i decided to leave to meet mom.
I thought to change my clothes and wear more presentable clothes. I wore a off should white satin dress. I tied my hair in a bun and matching accessories.

I took my red Mercedes and drove towards the Paulsen mansion. I walk inside the living room and found it quite empty. I expected mom sitting in the living room and reading a fashion magazine while drinking her evening tea.
I saw our butler given instructions to the maid. I should ask her where is mom? "Aunt Marie where is mom?" I asked "Oh Athena... Madam is in study room " she said. I gave her a grateful smile.
