It hurts everywhere. I don't want to open my eyes. I just want to sleep forever but my peace was disturbed by a unknown beep sound. I tried to open my eyes. I squinted my eyes a bit rough, shutting them tightly once before opening them again. A bright light hit my eyes as i gradually opened them. They weren't bright but they seemed almost blinding. I looked around the room it was a spacious room. But even before i opened my eyes , i knew the place

A hospital

The rich scent of medicines and freshness of surgical sanitizers thickened the air. The subtle and continuous sound of beeping monitors were all familiar for the doctor like me.

I looked at my left hand that had a needle connected that was my IV.
I looked at my right and saw a head perched down right next to my hand, with the body sitting on a chair near my bed. At that time i knew who the person is.

He is Ashton!!!

My throat was dry and i wasn't able to speak anything. I gently and slowly patted Ashton's head. He lifted his head gently when he felt hand. His eyes widened in shock when he saw me awake.
"Wa...t..er" i asked
He quickly got up from the chair and brought me a glass of water. He helped me to sit. He put his hand on nape and tilted my head towards him. He put the glass of water on my lips and helped me to drink it. After the whole glass of water my throat felt better.
"How are you feeling " he asked politely.
"Better " i replied.

I looked at Ashton there dark circles under his eyes and he looked tired like he didn't slept for days. From that i remembered something.
"For how many days i was unconscious?" I asked
"After the operation you were in.coma for two days" he replied

I leaned my head and closed my eyes. I really don't know how my life changed so drastically. I can't believe the person whom i loved more than my life is the reason behind my downfall.

"Are you ok?" He asks. I nodded my head in yes.
"Can you tell me what exactly happened?" He asks. I opened my mouth to say something but i couldn't say anything. Because at the same time the door was pushed open and a very tensed Evelyn walked in. Her eyes were red and i can see dark circles under her eyes.

She ran towards me and hugged me tightly.

Fuck!! That hurts like shit!! I hissed in pain.
"Evelyn leave her she is injured " Ashton said
"Oh I'm so sorry..." she sobbed.

"Calm...down I'm fine " i said. I placed my hand on my chest where i was shoot. I knew that she didn't meant to hurt me intentionally. Evelyn loved me more than my life.

"Are you ok should I call a doctor " Ashton asked
"Don't worry I am fine" i said and gave him a small smile. Evelyn took a stoll and sat beside me. She took my hand in her.

"So you were about to say something " Ashton asked me. I gulped nervously but i know i need tell them the truth.
"Scarlett was the one who kidnapped me. " i said

"You mean the younger daughter of Greene family " Evelyn asked. I nodded my head in yes.
"But she wasn't the mastermind behind all this. Someone else wanted me dead" i said

"Who?" Ashton asked
"Andrew....." i said in a low voice
"What?? Say again" Evelyn said. I took a deep breath and said
"I knew that bastard was never a good news " Ashton yelled angrily. He looked so angry.

"Ashton relax" Evelyn said
"You're telling me to relax. Have you lost your mind " Ashton shouted. Evelyn rolled her eyes and ignored him.
"Athena are you sure about it. I mean how do you know that it was Andrew" she asked. For first time Evelyn is so calm and handling the situation maturely. Ashton has clenched his fist in anger.
