3rd Persons POV

"Hand over your lunch money buddy we know you got it today." One of the older kids said cornering Yeonjun while he licked his lips out of nervousness.

"B-but i haven't eaten..." He said in a small voice clutching the hem of his shorts.

"Are you talking back to your friends? Guys he's being so rude!" another one mentioned while the 8 year old boy looked at them with wide eyes.

"N-no i mean-"

But before he could defend himself the older boy had pushed him making him fall back onto the ground  with a painful groan.

Everyone on the playground silently watched not one of them making an effort to call a teacher or help the poor boy who's anxiety only increased with all the judging eyes on him.

"Lunch money or get ready to get beat up you spoilt brat." The boy said looking at Yeonjun with predator like eyes.

Yeonjun slowly put his hand inside his back pocket pulling out a note but before he could a feminine voice yelled.

"GET AWAY FROM HIM YOU JERKS!" A girl obviously younger than the lot said with puffed cheeks and her hair tied in two braids.

She marched up to them and stood in front of Yeonjun hands on her hips.

"You must really be desperate to look cool so thats why you're stealing money from a kid." She sassed and the whole playground gasped at her attitude towards the older kids.

Yeonjun's eyes were drawn to her legs that trembled even though her chest was puffed and her face not showing any fear.

She's scared too.

"Who are you huh? His friend?" A girl in the group said.

"And what if i am? What is it to you?" She said leaving the girls mouth open in dismay and embarrassment.

"You little brat let me teach you a lesson." She said charging at Y/n who seemed startled seeing a girl double her size coming to beat her up.

So she pulled her ultimate card and began wailing with her whole chest shocking everyone as teachers ran out to the crying child asking what was wrong.

"These boys were about to hit me and take my lunch money!" She sobbed while the older kids tried explaining themselves but the teacher was not having it. Meanwhile The girl whispered something in her Teacher's ear and the teacher nodded hesitantly.

Yeonjun looked past the girl and saw the older kids now crying while the teacher scolded them and said she was going to call their parents.

"Oi." He heard. His eyes shifted to the girl holding out her hand. "Lets go eat lunch." She said and smiled causing her dimples to appear. She held Yeonjun's hand and led him to a lunch table and opened her lunchbox.

"Here." she said handing him a riceball which he accepted hesitantly.

"Why do you still want to be friends with me? Those bullies are gone now." Yeonjun muttered looking at the riceball longingly.

"I didn't say that just as an excuse." The 7 year old replied. "I really want to be your friend." She said with a twinkle in her eye.

Yeonjun's heart pounded.

He'd finally have someone to call a friend.

"You don't have to be." He said contrary to what he felt.

"I dont care im gonna be your friend anyway." she replied packing up her lunch and giving the bewildered boy a caprisun.

"I'm y/n. Lets be good friends." She smiled waving at him before running inside her classroom.

And Yeonjun hadn't even noticed that he'd automatically smiled back to the girl, Y/n.

He turned around to  leave but felt two hands wrap around his torso and leave. He turned around to see y/n with a mischievous smile before she dashed in.

Maybe he wasn't going to be alone after after all.
