*Jack's P.O.V*
I ran into the Queen's room with my staff and Ronan leading the way. Queen Tara sat up from the throne, a look of worry set on her face. Ronan bowed, as well did I because Hiccup says its impolite to not do so.
"Rise," she said, coming towards us. "What is it that has you two flustered?"
I was the first to speak. "Mandrake attacked, and Hiccup was shot with an arrow." I said.
"Oh my! Man the Leafmen! We need to protect the palace," she demanded Ronan.
Ronan gave her a smug smile and kissed her cheek. "Anything for you, Tara." He said in a thick voice as he ran towards the door and out. I was about to turn until she grabbed my jacket hoddie, making me turn around to face her.
"You can't go out looking like that, come." She said, gesturing with her hand as she started down the stairs behind her throne. I followed her, staying behind her.
"Where are we going?" I asked, as we came to a dungeon looking thing. She smiled and made her way towards a tree trunk. She smiled, tapping the tree trunk and watched at it glowed bright yellow and opened to reveal some blue armor.
"This was my fathers armor, he was a magic user like you with ice. So he created this for himself." She pulled it out and placed it in my hand.
"Oh, I can't wear thi-" she cut me off by grabbing my shoulders.
"I believe in you, Jack." She smiled. "Now get ready, I'm gonna go check up on Hiccup then meet Ronan outside." She kissed my forehead before leaving back up the stairs. I sighed, setting the armor down and grabbed the first one which was a pair of black pants. I gulped taking off my brown ones and putting these on, placing my belt through them.I took off my jacket and grabbed the long sleeved whit shirt, putting it on and tucking it into my pants. I sighed, picking up the bright blue and black armor top and placed it on my body, but I don't know how to put armor on. How the hell am I supposed to put this shit on?
"Need help?" Asked Alex, stepping off the final step.
"How long have you been there?" I asked, a little blush forming hoping she wasnt there long.
"I just barely came down here, don't worry." She smiled, coming towards me as she placed my right arm up and tied the string under it, and then moved to my other arm. Once that was settled, I glanced down seeing boots...yeah right, no feet prisons for me! But I did put on the finger holed gloves.
"What? No shoes?" She asked, holding them up.
"Ugh, those things are evil. I'm good just going bare foot." I said.
"At least put these on," she handed me leg warmers and some blue rope. I smiled. She actually knew I liked free feet and something tight around my calf. Once finished, I grabbed my staff and looked at her.
"You gonna fight?" I asked.
"Hell yeah! Even if I'm the only fairy outcast, this is still my family so I will fight with my last breath." She said, running back up the stairs.
I followed but my steps faltered. Family. That word I haven't heard since the guardians. I wonder what they are up too... I mean they were the closest thing I had to a family and now they weren't even a part of my every day life.
"You coming?" Asked Alex.
I shook my head and smiled up at her. "Yeah," once up there, I grabbed her hand. "Let's go see Hiccup first," I said.
"Hiccup? He's already on the battle field. He heals quickly." Once she said that, panick raised inside me. He just had an arrow in his shoulder and he's already fighting? Not even I can heal that fast! I rushed past her and flew down the hall till I reached the chaos that was outside. Mandrakes soldiers were fighting Leafman as the Queen was controlling the plants to help defend us. I glanced around, looking for Hiccup, but I couldn't seemed to find him.
"Come on!" Someone shouted. I turned seeing Hiccup riding Toothless from above, he had a crow on his tail. He looked like he was in great shape. He turned toothless's reins and I saw him flinch in pain. He wasn't better and yet he was out here fighting. Of course he would be risking his life for everyone if it meant no one would get hurt. He believes in peace then blood shed.
I flew up to him, throwing a giant ice storm at the bird, knocking him out of the sky. I went fast, and was right above Hiccups head. I flicked his head and he looked up confused.
"What are you doing here? You need to recover!" I shouted through the whistling of the wind.
"I can't let you have all the fun! Besides, I can't just sit back and watch everyone else fight!" He shouted back.
"Of course!"
"Plus, sexy get up!" He smirked. "I never thought I'd see the day when you would wear something that wasn't a jacket!" He shouted back.
"You've seen me naked!" I said back.
He rolled his eyes. "Not the same thing, it looks good!"
"Thanks babe, now have you found Mandrake?" I asked.
"I had thought about that, ya see I think he'd be behind his group of soldiers, waiting for the Queen to notice it." He looked over at Tara and then back at me. "We can't let her go! She needs to keep the pod save!"
I lifted a brow. "The pod?" I asked.
"Yeah, its a small pod that keeps the forest alive! She needs to protect it because its in the castle!" He shouted.
So that's what Mandrake is after. If that's so! Then we shall be ready for whatever he throws at us.
