*Back at Mandrakes lair*
"I can't believe Hiccup fell for that, did you see his face when Jack said all those horrible things to him!" Mandrake shouted his excitement to the roof. Pitch who was standing in the corner, sighed at the excited man. He wasn't celebrating yet because he knew those boys and they will find a way out of it. so he sat back and waited for Mandrake to get all of his excitement out so they could talk about it. He does admit he made Hiccup tell Jack everything so he can get Hiccup out of the way, but from how Mandrake is acting he kind of regrets it.
"Jack seemed to leave in a hurry, if you don't go to retrieve Hiccup yourself he may get to him before you do." Pitch stated in a very bored tone.
He stopped and looked at Pitch with a smile. "Your right, I would love to see his slow death right in front of me." Mandrake said, picking up his staff and whistling for his bird. He needed to see Hiccups pain and he needed to see it now. He rushed up the steep rock to the caves opening. Pitch watched as the guy struggling to find footholds to climb since he was overly to excited.
"Seems you can't even walk, rat." Pitch said, standing up from the chair he was sitting in.
"Watch your tone there, Pitch," Mandrake spoke. "You don't want to get touched do you?" He raised the hand he touched Hiccup with and smirked.
"This is why I like you, your as evil as me," says Pitch. Mandrake continued up the hill and disappeared out of the door way, his dumb son following after him. Pitch smiled at himself. "Just not as smart as me." He said to himself. He chuckled and used the nightmare sand to hover to the top of the hill and out of the cave.

You could barely hear any breathing from his partner. The fever practically engulfing him and his neck was in all sorts of pain. Hiccup didn't move. He couldn't move. Jack can't move him or he'd cause more pain to his partner.
"Hiccup, stay with me, toothless is getting Tara." Jack said to the unconscious 18 year old. Jack was on his knees, staring down at Hiccup. His tears couldn't come since he knew he could save Hiccup. He had too. He couldn't let Hiccup die after all the horrible stuff he did.
Hiccup grunted, closing his eyes harder while his hand clutched a pile of grass. Jack bit his lip, not knowing what to do about Hiccups condition. Why didnt he tell me? Jack thought.
Jack ran his hand through Hiccups hair and smiled down at him with a painful pang in his chest. He told Hiccup to leave and disappear. He told Hiccup to never return. He was the one who pushed him out. Did he... Really cause some of the pain Hiccup is feeling right now?
Hiccup's mind was blank of everything but the pain. The searing hot pain of when Jack Nightmare stabbed him but worse. This pain was white hot and felt like someone was branding him all over his right side. He couldn't show most of it because it was slowly eating him. Every time Hiccups mind wanders to what Jack told him, it would get worse.
"Jack, what-" Tara stopped when she say Hiccup lying there. She gasped. "What happened? Was it Mandrake?" She asked, getting on her knee and standing next to him.
"I.. I really don't know, its this," Jack pulled down the neck of his shirt to show Tara and she glared.
"It was Mandrake." She said. She looked up at the numb Jack and placed her hand on his hand. "I know how to fix this, but we have to get back to the pod." She said.
"The pod? What's the pod?" Jack asked, clearly confused.
She smiled. "Its the life of the forest and has some really good powers, enough to heal anyone from Mandrakes touch." She explained.
Jack smiled wide. "It can really do that?!" He shouted. He glanced back down at Hiccup who didn't move much. His mind was no longer functioning. He couldn't concentrate on anything and that was a bad sign of the illness. "Let's go," jack said confidently.
"Okay, lets-"
"Where do you think you're going with my prize?" Mandrake said, cutting off Tara as he cut through the trees and stood by them. He glanced down at the very pale, almost near death Hiccup and smiled.
"What are you doing here you swine?!" Jack screamed.
He smiled. "Hold your tongue boy, I came for that one." He said, pointing at Hiccup.
Jack clutched Hiccup close, hearing Hiccups scream fill his ears. Jack hesitated a little but kept him close. "You are not taking him." Jack shouted.
"Oh? I'm not?" Mandrake asked. He smiled and one of his little minions stepped out with a bow and arrow, ready to fire at Jack. "I think I am," and the arrow went flying.
Jack closed his eyes, holding Hiccup close and waiting for the impact that never came. Jack waited another agonizing second but nothing came. He slowly opened his eyes to see Tara in front of them. His eyes shot open when he realized what he was looking at. She fell to her knees.
"Tara!" Jack shouted, gently placing Hiccupbon the ground so he could lean over and place his hand on Tara's shoulder.
"Oh don't look at me like that," she said, blood spilling out of the corners of her mouth. "Get him to the pod," she said.
"What? I can't just leave-" as if on cue, Ronan ran in and sliced Mandrakes sides. He screamed in pain.
"Jack! Go, take Hiccup back to the castle, I got Tara!" He shouted.
Jack nodded and lifted Hiccup up. He screamed in pain but jack tried to drown it out. His mind went to Emma. Emma was alive and after he got Hiccup better, he was gonna go to her. Maybe get tooth's help to regain her memories. He has to do something to help. Hiccups been carrying all this weight by himself. Now its Jacks turn to carry some of it.
