Queen Tara made her way around the table when Jack and Hiccup entered the Queen quarters hand in hand. She smiled, hugging them. They all stood there for a moment before she backed up and nodded. "So, how are you guys settling in?" She asked.
"Oh were settling in great, thanks." Jack said with a grin.
"That's good, well I guess since its almost dark you should head to bed, I just wanted to check in and tell you that there has been no moves against us from Mandrake. So you guys can settle in and get some rest." She said.
Hiccup gulped and looked around. He was the only one who knew about the attack and the only one who knew what was happening. He felt guilty keeping all of this from Jack but then again he felt it was the right thing to do.
"Okay, we will," Jack said about to leave until Hiccup slapped his chest. Jack looked at him and Hiccup bowed. "Oh," jack followed Hiccups example and bowed before leaving again. Queen Tara chuckled and made her way to the throne.
Hiccup sucked in air and made his way back to the room. Trying to not think about the attack.-later that night-
*Hiccups P.O.V*Jack was fast asleep but he clung to my waist. I stared out the open window seeing the small opening in the trees and the far away mountains. I sighed, quietly undoing Jack's hands and getting up off of the bed. I sighed, making my way onto the Terrance, looking out. The wind seemed stronger when your small but I guess others must be used to it. I sighed, looking down at my finger that had the ring on it. The beautiful ring that Jack had given me earlier today and yet I'm still hiding something. I don't deserve to be his. I'm not even close to worthy. He's been through so much so if I told him any of this, he would definitely leave me for sure. Our relationship would most likely crumple to the ground.
I heard something whistle in the air and before I could do anything or move, my shoulder stung and I flew back on the floor with a shout.
"Hiccup?" I heard Jack say. I looked over to see my should was pierced by a black arrow. Jack appeared at my side in seconds, landing next to me to look over my shoulder.
I grabbed his shoulder and winced. "Were under attack!" I said, seeing another arrow fall next to Jack. He looked at me and threw my arm over his shoulder. My arm seemed to pound, sending something over me. I looked over at the arrow, seeing it slowly rot the wooden ground of our room.
"Leafmen!" Jack shouted at the open door. I saw some people run in their leaf armor, heading straight for us. My body gave out, causing Jack to kneel down with all my weight. The leafmen stopped and one stepped forward with white hair.
"This arrow is Mandrakes," he said. "We need to get this removed immediately." He turned to the leafmen and pointed. "Take him to the infirmary and rip it out immediately!"
"Yes, Ronan." They said, taking Jack's place as he moved to the left. I saw some of my blood on his arm from holding my side. Jack tired to raise to my side but Ronan brought up a hand, stopping Jack.
"Let me pass," jack said angrily.
"If we are under attack, we need all we can get." Ronan said.
"Then go find some, I need to help my fiancé!" He said.
"Jack, go, they need your help. Plus I heal pretty quickly so I will be by your side before you know it." I said. Jack bit his lip and flew over to me, kissing me harshly before running his hand through my hair.
"Don't you die on me again, ya hear?" Jack said with his natural smirk. He looked up at the leafmen and glared. "Don't hurt him ya brutes."
"You don't die as well, I love you," I whispered.
He chuckled. "Love ya too, my oh so brave dragon dork." He pinched my nose and smirked before sighing and turning g towards Ronan who was smiling at our pitty goodbyes. The leafmen turned me around and started toward the infirmary. But all I could think about was Jacks sweet lips and smile.
