"Elaine I....I am so sorry, I didn't know." Martha apologized, squeezing Elaine's hand lightly as cold anger seeped its way into her chest.
"It's ok. It was a lesson I needed to learn." Elaine shrugged and whipped the sweat from her brow.
"And what lesson was that?"
"That sometimes family can be disappointing." Elaine said with a sad expression.
"Yeah, but that's one harsh lesson to learn so young." the older alpha said, sympathy written on her face and through her voice, "Though, I hope mine hasn't been a disappointment." she said jokingly to lighten the mood.
"Are you kidding me? Your family is amazing." Elaine smiled, "But if I'm being honest I'm kinda glad that you and your mother-in-law have it out for each other. I was starting to think that you guys were the perfect family." Elaine said honestly with a chaste laugh.
"Aw, thank you, but I can assure you that we are far from perfect." Martha laughed along with her as the two made their way to the dressing room.
"Oh come on, besides you and your mother-in-law being at each others throats how are you guys not perfect." Elaine accused with a hand on her hip as the older alpha changed
"Well, for one if I had it my way Luther wouldn't be such a mommas boy, Travis and Sarah wouldn't have a new lover every week and Max and Jamie would have more confidence in themselves." she said honestly before stopping dead in her tracts, looking to Elaine with a worried expression.
"Um...c-could you keep this between us?" she asked the girl nervously, "I normally don't talk about this kind of stuff." she cringed.
"Yeah, don't sweat it. My lips are sealed. O que acontece no banherio, fica no bangerio." Elaine winked stripping her own sweaty shirt from her well pumped body.
(What happens in the gym's bathroom stays in the gym bathroom.)
"I don't know what you said but I'm assuming you said you would so thank you." Martha said relieved taking off her tight yoga pants placing them in her gym bag.
For a few moments the two stripped out of their gym clothes into their birthday suits. Thankfully Martha had the foresight to bring towels for both of them so they didn't have to walk from the lockers to the showers naked.
"OK, most of the things you said I get, but you'd want Max to have more confidence? Have you seen the guy? He's five pounds and two inches away from being exactly like his daddy." Elaine quipped making Martha laugh as she stepped into one of the gym's showers.
"Don't let his appearance fool you." the older alpha said softly, "He puts so much pressure on himself to be just like Luther that he'd do just about anything to get his and anyone's approval." she told Elaine turning on the water and turning it way to far left for any sane person to handle.
"Guess I'll have to take your word for it." Elaine shrugged starting up the shower next to her mother-in-law, who was in the process of shampooing her sweat glistened body. Her body feeling both light and heavy at the same time as she washed every part of her carefully sculpted body.
Taking the next few minuets of comfortable silence the two alpha women washed their bodies free of the days sweat from their workout and the stress that both their families had caused them to feel.
Turning the shower off the two stepped out into the cool air and while cold, it was somewhat welcomed as they dried themselves from the warm water and shocked their bodies to remain awake for the rest of the day.
"We should probably head back. I have to start dinner. Or at least attempt to start dinner." Martha groaned, fixing her hair into a tight wet bun.
"Yeah I guess." Elaine agreed putting on a light sleeveless hoodie.
"Back to the mad house." she joked making Martha chuckle.
"Indeed."

As the days went by and the family continued to test nerves and cause problems Jamie and Elaine found themselves in the airport waiting in the inbound drive thru to pick up another member of their family, Jamie's favorite member of his family.
The one, the only...
"Laylay!" Jamie yelled excitedly, practically jumping out of Elaine's car and hugged her for all she was worth.
"Jamie!" Laylay yelled back hugging just as tight.
"Oh my gods! I'm so happy you're finally here!" Jamie said happy as the two jumped up and down like schoolgirls.
"I know right! It's been way to long!" the omega girl cheered, " I mean you're a dad now, that's crazy!"
"Right! Oh my gods we have so much to talk about I don't even know where to begin." Jamie squealed smiling like a fool.
"There's my pups, my friends, oh and how grandma is driving my mom crazy. Oh and how weird Max has been acting with the new girl in school." Jamie rambled before he was cut short by the honk of Elaine's challenger.
"Hey mea amor, as adorable this is we gotta go. These fucks have zero patience." Elaine called from the car, thumb pointing to the cars that honked aggressively behind her.
"Sorry babe." Jamie apologized with a smile, "Here put your stuff in the back and we can talk on the way home."
"Absolutely." the young girl said quickly picking up her suit case and putting it into the back of Elaine's challenger then jumped into the back seat.
"Now, tell me everything." she smiled happily as Elaine drove away.
