      Weeks went by for Jamie and Elaine to reach a point where their conversations were like the ones the had before her wolf's mistake, at least for the most part. 

      For the most part, they were back to talking and or texting on a daily basis. Elaine even earned a visit or two back home so she could see and spend time with her pups again, much to Jamie's grandmother's objections. 

      The reunion between mother and pups was quite the sight as the big, bold and brash Brazilian alpha fell to her knees and openly cried as she held her pups close. Unfortunately for Elaine however Jamie wasn't yet comfortable sharing a bed with her again so Elaine had asked her mentor Rose if she could stay with her while she was in town since she and her sister and had long since sold their old shared apartment. 

       The ebony alpha was more than happy to oblige and the two would often talk about football, college life and just what Elaine had done to earn Jamie's ire.

      Upon learning about what Elaine's infidelity Rose had been disappointed, but instead of putting the young mother through anymore grief she instead focused on helping Elaine stay on the straight and narrow from then on. 

      Besides, she'd gotten quite and earful from Jamie's grandmother and by extension the rest of the Lawson family during her visits. 

      All but Travis who just thought the whole ordeal was absurd and Jamie should get over himself and just accept Elaine back with open arms....and legs. 

      That little tidbit had earned him a resounding smack in the back of the head from their father as Elaine helped feed her pups while Jamie did his school work.   

      Day by day things progressed between the two and day by day Jamie and Elaine grew more and more comfortable with one another. Yet Jamie still would reframe any intense or passionate displays of pda or pet names, much to Elaine's disappointment. 

      She ached for him, she ached for him in ways she hadn't since they first met and all she wanted was to pull her car over and fuck him in the back seat. But she held back and allowed him to dictate the pace, no matter how beautiful he looked while caring for their pups. 

     At some point though Martha had suggested that Jamie and Elaine should spend some time away together and Elaine wasn't going to waste the opportunity to have her mate all to herself again so she offered a plan.  

      The week had fallen on a bye week for Elaine's now 10-8 Rhino's so outside of a few classes she had to attend she was free to spend time with Jamie.

       Initially, the omega had been skeptical but after a talk or two with Sarah and the promise from his mother that the pups would be ok he agreed to the....date. 

      So nervously, Jamie walking off the plan he met Elaine at the gate. After a side hug and awkward kiss on his cheek the two set off for campus.

         "So how was your flight?" Elaine asked as they sat in their uber. 

         "It was ok. A lot of people though." he smiled awkwardly not knowing what to do as their legs bumped against one another. 

          "I'd personally prefer that over turbulence." Elaine smile putting on her best poker face as her wolf practically screamed for her to take him there and then, regardless if the uber driver was there. 

         "Yeah..." Jamie said shying looking out the car window seeing that glint in her eyes.

          "So...what did you have planned for us?" he asked when the car went silent.
