Start Me Up

Why does everyone make plans with me and then not tell me till the last minute. "You gotta go" I told Josh as I jump up from the bed. I grabbed his clothes off the floor and threw them next to him. 

"What is happening, what's wrong" Josh said propping himself up on his elbows making no effort to put on his clothes. 

"Kenzi is gonna a be here in ten minutes which means you gotta be gone by then."

"Why?" I knew that he knew the answer to his own question but I humored him. 

"No one can find out about this, about us" I said flailing my hands around. 

"Us?" Josh smirked as he got off the bed. "What happened to 'I don't want you to stop this time' from the elevator?" His hand found its way to my hips again. 

"Come on we don't know what 'us' is and we do not have the time to figure it out right now so please just put your clothes on and get out before she is here. Besides for all I know everyone else is coming, you guys are very bad at giving me details for these kinds of things." 

Josh did as I begged and made his way to the door. I ran after him and placed a kiss on his cheek. "We will discuss 'us' later, I promise" I say as I trace my thumb down his cheek. "Now go." 

I threw on the clothes I had been wearing previously and straightened out the bedding before Kenzi walked through the door. 

"Do we not knock now" I joked as I went up to hug her. "Are the boys coming?"

"You are the one that did not talk to me all day and you know how they are, always late" She backed out of our hug and continued. "By the look of it though, you were having fun." 

"What do you mean" I said eyes wide. 

"Well..." she dragged this word out for what felt like eternity as she walked over to the bed area. "So who was he" She asked as she leaned to pick up the briefs and condom wrapper that I must have not seen tucked slightly under the bed. 

I could feel my face turn hot and I knew I was bright red. How had I been so stupid. "You see-"

"I mean the boys would of had a field day with seeing that though" Kenzi cut me off and pointed to the used condom Josh had thrown on the floor. 

"Idiot, I could kill him, why did he-" 

Kenzi cut me off again but this time with a scream. "Girl I need to know who right now." I looked at her for a long time before it clicked. "Oh my god ew you let me touch Josh's underwear" she said as she threw them to my feet. "I will say, I am surprised at you, that is very 'unprofessional' you know." 

Can everyone stop using my words against me, I feel like taking a vow of silence. "It just kind of happened. We had the most wonderful day and one thing happened after another and it just... happened." My face was still burning. 

"I want the details but also ew Josh so why don't we take care of this while I make up my mind" Kenzi said as she went to throw away the wrapper. She rummaged through the cabinets before pulling out a can of air freshener. "Let's get the smell of sex out of the air" she chuckled. 

I threw away the condom and shoved Josh's underwear into the laundry basket. 

A chorus of hellos came from the front door as the boys entered. I will say Danny gave a little knock as he poked his head through the threshold. Glad to see someone cares slightly of my privacy. Josh was not with them though as they made their way inside. 

"Where is the elf" Kenzi asked as she made her way to sit with Danny on the couch. 

"He just got back as we were leaving so he asked for a few moments to 'freshen up.' He should be here soon" Sam said as he pulled out a bottle of alcohol from the bag he brought in.
