Josh and I walked into my house and were met with Angie's and Paige's eyes as they were still cuddled on the couch. Angies eyes went wide as she saw us hand in hand even though she was the one that told him where to find me early in the day. Frankie ran to greet Angie and lay down in Paige's lap after I removed his harness.
"We want to go get ramen?" Angie asked after a pause, still looking back and fourth between Josh and I.
"I am down if I have time to take a shower" I said placing my Timberlands onto the shoe rack near the front door.
"Of course it is only 4pm and they are open till midnight but fair warning we are starving" Paige said removing the crochet blanket form her lap.
"I will hurry" I said as I ran up the stairs.
Quickly I turned on the shower and let the water warm up as picked out my clothes. Finding a black sued top with fringe along the bottom and a pair of dark blue jeans I threw them on my bed before jumping into the steaming shower.
After I had cleansed my body and dawned my new clothes, I blow dried my hair and threw on my boots.
As I made my day down the stairs I heard Josh and Angie in a heated debate about some movie. "Are we debating Twilight again" I joked as I stood behind the chair Josh was shitting in. I leaned over the back of it and wrapped my arms around Josh's neck.
"Josh has never seen Climax" Angie said in a very serious tone.
"Wait that is actually a crime" I said looking down at him.
"It is one of the best A24 films" Paige added in really letting Josh know this was big deal since Paige never cared about our movie discussions.
"We will have to watch it together sometime" Josh said putting is hands on my arms before getting up from chair.
"Ok first time you watch is sober, then high, then wine drunk" Angie said also getting up from their seated position.
"Wine drunk is my favorite" I said as I opened the front door and we headed out.
We walked downtown for 1/4 a mile until we came across the big neon sign that said ramen. I had taken Josh by the arm and placed my head on his shoulder as we walked inside. Angie and Paige decided to split a bowl and a plate of Pork Buns while I ordered my usual of Takoyaki. Josh settled on teriyaki chicken and white rice as I ordered a bottle of Sake for the table.
Dinner was so much fun and I loved having Josh around. Our problems dissolved away as he laughed and teased with my best friends. "Ok Josh you have to be honest" Paige said she put down her chopsticks. The way she said this made my heart skip a beat, I didn't expect her to ask an inappropriate question but I was still paranoid about everything after this past week. "What city had the best show with your last tour?" I let out my breathe as her question was nothing like the extreme ones my brain was making up.
"Oh for sure LA" Josh said finishing off his skewer. " The second night was magical" he added as his hand found my thigh. I flushed red as my eyes met his.
"How so" Angie pried as she slurped some noodles. I looked at Josh's eyes as he was thinking of something else to say besides what we had gotten up backstage as I knew that is what he picked that night.
"Well it was one of the first shows so it had the anticipation nerves of getting back into things but not too much pressure of the first show back. Backstage was A LOT more fun the second night and having the best support in the world there made it all the better" he expounded. "This girl here goes crazy in the crowd with her singing, dancing and screaming."
