Chapter Fifteen: Sick
You know the good thing about the super soldier serum? You can't get sick. The bad thing? You're the one forced to take care of someone who is sick because you can't catch it. Tony was sick and I was the one taking care of him while Steve took care of Clint.
And you want to know what Tony has? The stomach flu. The fucking stomach flu! It's disgusting! He's thrown up on me twice. "Tony! Take the damn medicine!" It was three a.m. and I'd been arguing with Tony for twenty minutes.
Tony refused to swallow the medicine the doctor prescribed him. He claimed it tasted like and I quote: "Like dog piss on a hot summer's day." Ridiculous I know. "Tony!" He swatted my hand, causing the cup to fly out of my grip and spill all over his carpet, "Dammit!
I threw my hands up in the air, "Fine! Then be sick Tony!" I marched out of the room, slamming the door shut on my way out. I blew my hair out my face with a sigh of frustration and sat down on the couch in Tony's living room.
"Aurora come back please, I'm sorry." Tony stood at the top of the stairs, using the wall as support.
"Tony, get your ass back in that room." I stood up and pointed a stern finger at him.
Tony burped, "Not until you," Another burp, "Not until you come back."
"I'm coming Tony, just please go lay back down." Tony nodded and went to turn around but started swaying back and forth instead. "Tony!" I shot my hand out, catching him with wind and setting him back on his feet. "I swear Tony, you're going to give me a heart attack one day."
Tony wrapped one of his arms around my shoulders and we struggled back to his room. "Lay down and rest. I don't care if the Avengers alarm goes off or you have the need to invent something, stay in bed. Got it?"
Tony nodded and flopped onto his bed, letting out a groan of discomfort. I pulled his covers up to his shoulders and kissed his forehead. "Feel better Tony."
I closed the door quietly and went into the kitchen to make myself some much needed coffee and a muffin.

"Hey Tony," I whispered in his ear and sat down next to him, "How are you feeling?"
He mumbled something I didn't understand. "Tony, talk to me so I can help." I brushed the hair back out of his face.
He opened an eye and stared up at me, "I feel less nauseous, just really tired now."
"I bet, you've been up for ten hours." I stood up and pulled the covers back up to his shoulders and checked his temperature. Luckily, he wasn't running a fever anymore. I kissed his forehead, "Sleep well Tony, call me if you need anything."
I closed the door and made my way to Steve and I's floor, flopping down onto my bed only to have the Avengers alarm go off. "Dammit!"
I met with everyone and leant up against the wall, trying to keep my eyes open.
"We may be down two Avengers but we can still stop this as long as we work as a team." I nodded and my eyes started to slowly shut. "Aurora," My eyes shot open to see Steve, "Maybe you should stay home."
"No, I'm okay." I walked down to the garage to Steve's motorcycle and got on the back.
"Aurora-"
"I'm fine Steve. Let's go." I wrapped my arms around his torso and put my face to his back. I could feel Steve sigh and shake his head.
The engine reeved and we took off towards wherever whoever was attacking. I wasn't really paying attention to be honest.
