Chapter Twenty-Six:
Aurora:
I paced back and forth across the small confines of my own mind. I needed to get back in control. Chaos will hurt everyone and if she acts just like me, Steve and the Avengers will never know the difference. She's learned a few new tricks thanks to Gabriel. I can see and hear everything, even feel it and they've done some stuff I've never wanted to see, hear or experience. *Insert internal shudder*.
I needed to figure out how to overpower Chaos. This was my body, my life and she was not going to ruin it. She could kill my family and I wasn't going to let that happen.
My inner tirade ended when I realized we were waking up. Chaos stretched and shuffled out of bed, heading straight for the shower that was already running. But if she only just woke up...
Wait...ew! EW!
Steve:
I paced back and forth on my floor of the tower. Aurora had up and disappeared, she usually left a note or told one of us where she was going, but this time she didn't. The rest of the team walked onto my floor.
"Okay Steve, what's the problem?"
"Aurora, she's gone."
"Are you sure she's just not out for a walk? Or somewhere else in the tower?" Tony asked with a roll of his eyes, not even looking up from his tablet.
"Because look," I pointed to the coffee table, "Her unfinished muffin; which we all know she loves muffins, her half drank coffee and the files are still all over the table. We know Aurora is neat freak and hates wasting food." I looked over at them, "I think she's in trouble."
This caught Tony's attention and he looked up, "Let me rewind the security footage." Tony made the footage holographic in the room and we watched as someone snuck up behind Aurora and whack her over the head with what looked like a small statue. "Holy shit."
The person turned around and the hood fell from their head. It looked exactly like Aurora only her eyes were pure black and she wore a tight dress. "Oh my god," Natasha stared at the girl on the hologram, "It's Chaos."
"Wait," Bruce looked at the still frame, "Chaos can manifest herself as a real person? Aurora wasn't just hallucinating." He turned to us, "The Chthonic magic within her is way stronger than we thought. If she can manifest an actual evil version of herself. Then she can do almost anything if she completely unlocks the magic."
"So what you're saying is-"
"We're in trouble if Aurora can't keep Chaos at bay."
We needed to find Aurora and fast.

Sorry this chapter is so short, but I didn't want to drag it on. This story is getting closer to the end. I'm thinking maybe at 30 or 32. Thanks for reading!
