Chapter Twenty-Nine: Broken

 Steve:

 "Rora you don't have to do this! The others will be here."  I pleaded to her. The rest of the team would be here soon, Bucky was on standby for my signal.

 Rora looked at me with sad eyes and a small smile, "I'm sorry Steve. I have to protect my family." She got this spacey look and then her head fell forward. When she lifted it again, it was no longer her blue eyes I saw, but Chaos's pitch black ones. "Star-Spangled Butt, how ya doing?"

 I clenched my jaw and glared, but stayed silent.

 "Awe, the silent treatment. You hurt my feelings old man." She turned to Gabriel, "Get me out of these you imbecile."

 Gabriel rushed to undo the cuffs around Chaos's wrists and unbind her feet. I watched as she rubbed at her raw wrists and smile. "It's good to be back."

 I whistled the chorus to Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. Gabriel and Chaos's heads snapped to me and Gabe stocked towards me, gripping my chin between his hand and making me look at him. "What was that?" I didn't answer. Gabriel backhanded me across the face, causing my lip to split. "I asked you a-"

 He never got to finish because the door to the warehouse we were in exploded and in marched the Avengers plus Bucky and Justice. I instantly escaped the soldier's hold with a jab to his stomach with my elbow and a head butt.

 "Be careful guys. Chaos is in control. Try not to hurt Aurora." As the orders left my lips, a knife whizzed past my ear. I turned and caught Chaos's hand as she made another move of attack. "Give Aurora control."

 She struggled in my grip but caught me off guard with a roundhouse kick, twisting her own wrist in the process. She didn't even flinch. I threw her to the side, careful not to hit her off anything. Chaos stood up and was ready to fight but her eyes rolled to the back of her head and she fainted.

 I was worried, but I had to help my friends with the Hydra soldiers.

 Aurora:

 I used most of my energy to pull Chaos into our mind. "I told you not to get comfortable."

 "You bitch. I was having fun and I really wanted to take down Captain Rogers."

 I sneered, "You won't touch Steve."

 Chaos laughed, "Awe, the two love birds. Defending each other. Makes me sick." She rushed at me and I prepared myself.

 Chaos went for a punch but I caught her wrist and flipped her over my shoulder. She landed with a loud thud, but instantly got up an laughed, "You're weak. You won't defeat me. I have Chthonic Magic."

 "Watch me." I smiled and roundhouse kicked her chest. Chaos flew backwards but stayed on her feet, sliding to a stop about ten feet away. She tried using her powers but I laughed at her failed attempts. "Did I forget to mention that our powers don't work in here? Oops."

 Chaos roared and charged at me, her black eyes almost glowing with anger, "You bitch!" I dropped down and swung my body around, my leg outstretched. I swiped Chaos right of her feet and pinned her arms to her side with my legs. "Get off!"

 "Not until you're gone for good." My fists flew into her face repeatedly. I hit her for killing those five soldiers and for torturing me all these years.

 She bucked her hips and I flew off her, landing on my back harshly. I let out a gasp of pain and tried crawling away from her. She dragged me by my ankles while I dug my nails into the ground. I kicked my feet and one connected with her chin. Chaos growled and landed a kick to my spine. I screamed in pain.

 "I'm going to have fun killing your family...again." She cackled.

 "What?"

 Her voice was arrogant, "You really thought the fire that killed those circus freaks was an accident? I was there for you and you ignored me, so I made sure those freaks suffered after what they did to us."

 "I-I don't understand."

 She sent another kick to my back and then flipped me over, "You stupid bitch! Of course you don't. I took over every time they did something to us because you were weak! You still are! Those circus freaks raped you because they knew if they bruised you your parents would know. You were a kid! And they used you! So, I killed them." She sent me a wicked smile, "Even those spiteful parents of yours."

 "They did nothing!" Hot tears were streaming down my face.

 "Exactly! They didn't do anything to stop it!"

 A new anger burned inside of me and I swiftly flipped us over, "You're disgusting and I'm sorry I ever made you up!" My fist flew to her chest, but instead of hitting it, my hand disappeared inside her chest and Chaos gasped. The pumping in my hand alerted me that I had ahold of her heart. "It's time for you to go away. For good." She looked at me with scared eyes, but I didn't care. She killed my parents. I pulled my arm up forcefully and watched as the light faded from her dark eyes.

 I threw the heart to the side and stood up, wiping my forehead with my bloody hand. Now it was time to return to my body.

Sadly this story is coming to an end, but I enjoyed writing it! I'm not sure if I'll write a sequel or not since I'll be so busy with college, but I might.  Thanks for reading guys. It means a lot.
