Andy was dead. That's all he knew.
Andy: Wait, is this the afterlife?
God: Nah this is purgatory.
Andy: Ah, thanks God.
God: No problem, so I've got a few options for ya.
Andy: Ooh, this sounds interesting, so heaven or hell?
God: Hit and miss, you can either go to heaven or become my multiversal crusader.
Andy: Can I choose where I start?
God: Yeah, pick a universe and time period, I can give you one item to start with too. The last guy was too excited and didn't let me get to that.
Andy: Cool, Eragon universe right when he finds Sapphira's egg, and I want a silver dragon egg.
God: Alrighty then, here's your egg, figure out the system on your own and have fun!
Andy is then teleported into the middle of the starter town, realizing he hasn't read the book in ages and forgot the name of the town. Well he should probably check his system that god mentioned
Andy: hey system
[Yeah bro?]
Andy: Pull up my stats please.
[You got it bro]
Stats
[HP: 50]
[MP: 1]
[Str: 1.5]
[Spd: 2]
[Dex: 1.5]
[End: 2.5]
[Def: 0]
[Int: 1.5]
[Wis: HA]
[Node: 1 point is the power of one healthy adult]
Andy: Huh, pretty good considering the scaling.
[yeah bro, now get to your shop so we can make money, you need equipment]
Andy: Wait, I have a shop? What is it?
[well it autofills what's needed in the community so you got a hunting supplies shop]
Andy: Alright, now let's get in there.
The shop was rather nice. It had bows and knives lined up on the wall, arrows in bins in the corners, matches and even water skins.
Andy: Dope, Eragon will love this. Hey system, what do I have in my inventory?
[Just the egg, your phone, your pocket knife, and a rifle with a couple bullets.]
Andy: I have a gun?
[Yes]
Andy: Well that takes care of a couple issues, take the egg out, gotta let it hatch.
[Sure thing bro]
Andy took the beautiful silver egg and set it carefully in the back of the shop, under his bed. Then he just hung out in his shop waiting for any customers, though he figured that only Eragon would stop by seeing as he's the only hunter in the town as fat as he knew. At any rate he couldn't exactly interrupt the flow of the story until Eragon and Brom left town, he wanted to join them and get training.
[Wanna check out the shop bro?]
Andy: What, is there a crusader shop?
[Yep]
Andy: Show me
The shop screen opened up in front of Andy, and his eyes widened at some of the items for sale
Andy: How much money do I have?
[your life savings]
Andy: alright so about 20,000, buy unlock aura for 5,000.
[Smart, here ya go]
Andy: Alright, how much would terraria mana crystals be?
[about 50 each, you can absorb 15 due to age and physical capability]
Andy: So physical strength is proportional to how much mana I can have?
[nah thats just for the crystals, you'll naturally gain mana from using magic]
Andy: Cool, can I use the aura activation please?
[done +10 to all physical stats]
Andy: how many mana crystals can I absorb now?
[Clever, you can have 50 now]
Andy: Gimmie
Mana crystals spilled into the shop, andy picked one up unsure of what exactly to do with it
Andy: how exactly do I do this?
[Crush it]
Andy crushed it in his hand and felt the magic fill him, grinning he jumped into the mana crystals crushing them under him and feeling the magic flow into him!
[mana is now 500, now you gotta learn magic]
Andy wasn't exactly paying attention, he was scrolling through the shop.
Andy: come one it has to be somewhere in here, ooh this is perfect
Andy bought the item with no hesitation, it was a book containing every word in the ancient language of Eragon. However it didn't seem like he was done, he finally stopped at an item and bought it with the last of his money. It was a pair of glasses from Fairy Tail, the ones that let you read and absorb information super fast with 100% comprehension. They were called the "perfect gale force glasses"
Andy: and with this I shall become a master magician in just a day
[I don't exactly see how knowing an old language will help magic]
Andy: The magic in this world works off of this language, if you say something in it and put some magic in, it will happen.
[...]
Andy: System, you good?
[so that's why the book was so expensive]
Andy: yeah but I still need to learn how to actually use the magic.
And so Andy started reading
