Trial 2 Got... Intense

Andy was no longer having a good time.

[trial 1: kill everything in purgatory]

[time spent: 500,000 years (bout ten months to everyone else)]

Andy: WHERE THE FUCK IS IT? WHERES THE LAST ONE?

Andy has been searching for the last thing for the past 3000 years. It was starting to get annoying. Huh, weird. Before this a few hours was too much time to wait but now? Now he could wait hundreds of years before getting frustrated.

Andy: Wait, isn't the demon king here?

[Fucking finally]

Andy: shut, he's at the center I think, so that's to myyyyy left? Yeah left.

[you're lost as always]

Andy: Probably. Oh hey I was right this time.

Demon king: Are you the one who has been killing the creatures of this land?

Andy: That's me yep.

Demon king: And now you come here. To fight me.

Andy: Yep

Demon king: And you expect to win?

Andy: Yep

Demon king: How?

Andy: You see, I know how your magic works. you reverse the effect of any spell. So if I just say, oh exist you just kinda... stop existing.

[Well that was anticlimactic]

Andy: yeah well... yeah no I am completely unsatisfied but that.

{Trial two (and final) starting, please walk through the portal}

And so Andy, who was done with the barren wasteland, walked through the portal, directly into his childhood room.

Small Andy: Woah, who are you?

Andy: Well I guess that I'm you.

Small Andy: Hmm, no I don't have silver hair, mine brown.

Andy: Well a lot has changed.

The door opened, and in walked Andy, from before he was reincarnated.

Past Andy: Oh, so it's time.

Small Andy: YAY!

Andy: Time for what?

Future Andy: It's time for you to choose.

Andy was surprised at the sudden voice behind him. And turned around, seeing... himself, but more worn, scarred. His left arm was robotic, and his clothes were torn.

Future Andy: It's time for you to choose, which one of us is the true Andy. Who are you?

Andy: I... I don't know.

Future Andy: You need to choose!

Small Andy: Are you the innocent and ignorant child?

Past Andy: The man who killed for love?

Future Andy: Or the one who has seen everything the multiverse has to offer?

All: CHOSE!

Andy: NO!

The answer surprised them all. What right did he have to choose not to choose?

Andy: NO, I am not any of you. I was two of you, and I will be one of you. But right now, I AM ME! And your dumb little games will not change that.

All the other iterations of Andy disappeared, converging on one spot... revealing a person in sweatpants and a hoodie.

???: Wow, I've been doing this for literal ages and you are the first one to make the right choice.

Andy: Who are you?

Author: OH right, introductions, I am known by many names, but the one you know is The Author.

Andy: Dictator of my fate?

Author: Did Alex really say that? No, I do not dictate your fate, I guide it. If there is an opportunity for you to do something, I will put you in that path, I will give you quests.

Andy: So you make the quests?

Author: most of them. Multiplayer quests are made by God, odd dude him.

Andy: Huh, so you also make the rewards?

Author: Yep, I'm upset that Alex took your Angel DNA away, also he took the flaming sword, but you needed the holy element to use it either way.

Andy: Are you going anywhere with this?

Author: Oh right, well you shall get your rewards from the source this time. So let's see... ah, here we go. Tenno DNA, and your very own crusader edition Mjolnir MK V armor. I would recommend using it during crusades, as it buffs fellow crusaders, but you don't really need armor, might wanna give it to someone else.

Andy took the items gratefully, pocketing them to use when he got back.

Author: Well that's about it, also that choice of yours seems to have done something to your soul. I don't actually know what, but it looks interesting. Oh well, here's a portal home.

The Author opened up a portal for Andy, who walked through it, saying his thanks.

The Author then turns to you. Yeah, YOU'RE CANNON TO MY STORY NOW!

Author: Please excuse him, he's my uh, system of sorts. He narrates this story.
