Her savior

Chapter 8

*Tom pov*

The next morning I wake up at 8.30, looking around I see Kate almost on top of my body and Zawe facing me.
Since I can't really move I grab my phone, putting a few likes on Instagram and then answering my sister text where she asks when she has to come get Kate.
As I do so Kate slowly starts to wake up
"Morning" I say, softly kissing her head
"Hi"
"Did you sleep good?"
"Mhmh"
"Ok"
"Can we wake up auntie Zawe?"
"We should let her sleep a bit more. You know she is growing a baby in her belly, that takes a lot of energy" I explain her
"No need...I'm awake" Zawe says
"Auntie"
"Hi little girl!" She says kissing her cheeks multiple times marking her giggle.
"You have a baby?"
"In my tummy yes"
"Cousin?"
"It could be if you want" Zawe says
"Yes!"
"Ok...now that we are all awake what do you think about breakfast and then we can go build snowman in the park"
"Yes!" Kate says jumping on the bed
"Sounds good to me" Zawe says
"Perfect! Can you help me make breakfast?" I ask Kate
"Yes"
"What would the ladies like to eat?"
"Waffles?" Zawe says
"Waffles!!!"
"Great, come one princess" I say picking her up, leaving Zawe behind so she can get ready.

"What do you want on your waffle?" I ask Kate just as Zawe comes down the stairs
"Chocolate!"
"What about you?"
"Do we have some fruit?"
"Yes"
"I'll just put some on then"
"Ok" I say as I get the fruit washed and then pour some chocolate on Kate's waffles "here you go girls"
"Thank you!"
"You are very welcome"
We sit and eat, then we all go change, Kate requesting Zawe's help.

"Are we ready to go?" Zawe asks
"Yep!" Kate says
"Put your hat on first" I say to her giving her the hat
I exit the house hand in hand with Kate as Zawe is just in front of us.
"Is Hyde park good?" She asks
"Absolutely, lead the way!" I say

Zawe reaches down to grab Kate hand as she talks on the phone with her brother.
"Look at all that snow uncle!"
"It's wonderful, isn't it?"
"Yes! Can I go play?"
"You can but stay right in front of us please"
"Thank you!" She says running off.
Zawe and I sit on a bench watching Kate jumping in the snow.
"My brother asked if is ok with you to go clothes shopping later?"
"Yes sure! About the baby...have you thought about confirming last week rumors?"
"I did...I mean sooner or later everyone is going to know right? I think I'll post something later today"
"Ok. Ehy..." I say to her as she looks at her hands "you know where to find me in case you need me"
"I know, thank you"
We share a small hug that is interrupted by Kate
"Knock knock!" She says sitting on my lap
"Who's there?" Zawe asks
"Do you wanna build a snowman?" She sings
"Come on, let's go and play!" I sing back picking her up and then extending my free hand to Zawe.
"Do you know what we will be doing after lunch?" I ask Kate
"What what?"
"We have to go baby clothes shopping for Zawe's baby"
"Yay! Is it a girl or a boy?" She asks Zawe
"I don't know it yet"
"Oh..."
"Come on let's build the prettiest snowman" I say putting her down.

We spend the next hour building the snowman as best as we can and having so much fun.
"I think it need a scarf!" Kate says "right auntie?"
"Oh definitely!"
"How about yours Uncle Tom?"
"Well...I guess mine will fit him just right" I say taking off my scarf and giving it to Kate so she can put it around the snowman.
"Perfect!" She says
Zawe and I then take a few pictures of her and our work before she claims she's hungry so we start to walk back home.

"Go inside!" I usher Kate
"You are cold aren't you?" Zawe asks
"Eh a bit!" I say.
We eat mashed potatoes and meat and after watching some cartoons we get ready to go out again and meet Sam at his hotel to then go to the mall.

"So what should we look for?" Sam asks
"Cute babies clothes!" Zawe says
"Good! Let's spilt!"
"Brother and sister and niece and uncle?" I say
"Sure! Let's see who manages to find the cutest ones!" Zawe says then turns off with her brother leaving Kate and I behind.
