Chapter 38

Lauren's P.O.V

"She hasn't texted me back yet," I said pacing around the room.

"She said she'd be here."

The girls all looked at me sympathetically.

"I'm sure she's fine Lauren, just give her time to respond," Ally said.

I started to cry so the girls all walked over guiding me to the couch.

"What if something happened to her?" I questioned putting my face in my hands and my elbows resting on my knees.

The girls were rubbing circles on my back trying to comfort me.

I looked down, then back up pushing my hair out of my face.

I looked down again as more tears formed.

I felt the girls hands disappear and Ally move.

Her seat was replaced with a much lighter person.

I felt arms wrap around me and then heard, "Don't cry sissy. I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you."

I quickly shot my head up to find my baby sister sitting beside me.

"Thank God," I whispered as I wrapped my arms tightly around her.

"Emily please don't ever do that again. Don't ever leave me do you understand?" I asked.

She nodded and looked up at me, her small hand coming up to rest on my cheek.

She wiped my tears away and pulled me into another hug.

"I love you Lauren. I promise I'll never leave you."

"I love you too," I said and cuddled her as everyone else got up to get ready last minute.

Emily's P.O.V

The girls went out to perform and I just sat on the couch the whole time texting Drew.

"I'm taking a shower first!" Lauren yelled and ran to take one.

I just chuckled and Dinah popped up laying her arms against the back of the couch.

"Who are you texting?" She asked.

I brought my phone to my chest.

"A friend," I responded causing her to smirk.

"Give me your phone," she said sticking her hand out.

I shook my head. "No way!"

I raised her eyebrows before saying, "Okay."

She turned around to walk off so I continued to text Drew.

Drew: Maybe you could come visit this summer? Or I could come down there ;)

I smiled but it quickly went away when Dinah grabbed my phone.

"Dinah give it back!" I yelled jumping over the couch.

"No way!" She laughed an continued to scroll through all our messages.

"Who's Drew?" She asked wiggling her eyebrows.

The other girls walked over an Dinah read the texts out loud.

"Awe! Baby Jauregui has a boyfriend!" Normani squealed.

"Okay one, don't call me that," I said glaring at her. "And two, he's just a friend."

"Is he who you were hanging out with all day?" Camila asked.

I nodded my head.

"Does he have any siblings?" Ally asked smiling.

I nodded. "A seventeen year old brother Drake, a sixteen year old sister Delaney, and a seven year old brother Dustin," I said.
