Lucy was understandably hurt over all the things she had already assumed before Stefan assured her that he made sure she wasn't linked. But something inside her wasn't agreeing to it. She had this sick feeling deep inside her that Stefan had gotten so driven by his desire to kill Klaus that he overlooked the possibility that he would be losing her as well in the process.
But in reality, Stefan didn't even let this idea cross his mind. He had already lost his one best friend and now he was not willing to lose another one. He knew that she was hurt and this whole incident had already driven a gap between them. One of the major things that Lucy hated was being compared to his brother.
Stefan and Lucy are thick as thieves, well of course excluding the times when Stefan was in his ripper stage; and Stefan was trying his best to not let this 'are' turn into a 'were'.
That's why he has been calling her instantly but every time either the call was rejected immediately or it went straight to voicemail.
"Hey, Lucy," said Stefan into the phone, leaving a voicemail for what felt like the hundredth time. "I know you are upset, but I just wanted to ask if you are alright? You've not been answering my calls as of lately and I'm just starting to get worried."
"And, uh," he added nervously. "I know you probably won't want to talk about all this, but I just thought I should inform you that -uh- when we killed Finn, his whole bloodline followed after. So....., we don't know which Original's sireline do we belong to, it could be Klaus or Rebekah or Kol or Elijah, surely not Finn. So, uh, Damon went to find out it all, and meanwhile I'm searching for the lost white oak stake which was -uh- i don't know how to tell in short, it's a very long story. Listen, can you, uh, maybe come to my place. We could talk."
