The ride back home was an extremely quiet one throughout which Lucy and Klaus ignored each other while the two wolves shared concerned glances at their behaviour.

"Um. . .why are we here?" Hayley asked perplexedly as the car came to a stop by the plantation house. "Didn't you shift to the Compound already?"

"Elijah came up with quiet a. . .eccentric idea, to say the least," Niklaus explained, "dropped by a message explaining how we'll bury our mother on a land owned by a descendant, that is the baby, and she'll become a New Orleans Witch and then Sophie will channel her to complete the Harvest."

"You're handing over the Orginal Witch's power to the New Orleans witches?" Lucy asked, meeting his eyes in the rearview mirror.

"Not that we have much of a choice." he muttered, averting his eyes away.

"What about Davina, did they find her?" Vaishali questioned as the car slowly came to a stop.

"We'll soon find out." he responded as Rebekah emerged to meet them.

"Did you find them? Will he bring her?" he inquired to his sister as soon as he got down from the car.

"He'll bring her." she nodded, eyes briefly flickering to Vaishali as she came into view.

"Let's go." Rebekah gestured for them to move to the woods that were a part of the Miakelson property, well, technically, Lucy's property.

They met with Father Kirrean there, all ready to perform the ritual.

"Are you ready for this?" he asked, bringing forth a knife.

"Always and forever." Elijah breathed out, taking the knife and slicing into his palm.

The knife was then passed to Rebekah, then to Lucy who sliced a small cut onto her finger, pouring the blood droplets down.

She handed it over to Niklaus, fingers brushing accidentally making their eyes snap to each other.

"Klaus." she muttered, dropping her eyes to where he was still holding onto the knife, their fingers still touching and Niklaus followed her line of vision, letting go of it immediately.

"I don't need it." he muttered, before biting into his palm and pouring the blood onto the grave.

Lucy looked away from him, her hand lowering and tossed the knife away. What else was she expecting? A bloody thank you for breaking up? A let's be friends at least? Delusional much.
