Jay and Daera both stepped out of the hospital. She looked away awkwardly as she tightened her grip around the files. He cleared his throat and noticed that she hugged herself due to the cold night breeze.
He took off his jacket and wrapped it around her, "Take this."
"You don't have to–"
"Please. I insist," he smiled. She admired his beautiful smile, his eye smile making her heart beat a little faster. She blushed and lowered her gaze, hugging herself in his jacket.
"Come. I'll send you home," he offered and started walking to his car. She widened her eyes nervously as she fidgeted behind him, thinking of a solution. She didn't bring her car keys so she couldn't drive back home.
What will I say to him? What if he finds out Sunghoon and I live together?
"Jay, there's something I have to tell you," she spoke, earning his attention. She took a deep breath, "Actually, I'm living with–"
"Kang Daera!" Sunghoon called as he approached them both. He glared at her, "Why did you leave the house without telling me! Don't you have any idea how dangerous it is to go out alone at night?"
"What do you mean?" Jay glanced at him before looking at her again. She sighed and closed her eyes before saying, "I'm living with Sunghoon."
Jay's eyes opened wide as he tried to process the information, "What? You and Sunghoon? Together?"
"Her place was too small so I asked her if she wanted to be my housemate."
"Well then, I guess you should go back home and get some sleep for work tomorrow. Bye," Jay smiled. She nodded and waved at him goodbye before following Sunghoon to the car.
Jay's smile faded and he watched as his friend scolded her for leaving the house. He walked back slowly to his car and got in, turning on the engine. He held the steering wheel and leaned against the seat, watching Sunghoon driving away from the parking lot.

Daera rolled her eyes as she listened to Sunghoon's naggings. She waited for him to open the entrance door before walking into the penthouse. They both gasped in shock when they saw the bleeding body of a woman laying on the white expensive couch.
He rushed towards it and recognised the body immediately, "It's Ahrin."
"Who is she?" She asked as she stood behind him. Ahrin's body was bleeding badly and she had a bruise on her forehead. Her nails were pulled out and her eyes had a purple bruise around them. Her neck was slit and her hands were cut.
"She's my ex-girlfriend," he breathed out. "Who is doing all this? Why is it only your ex-girlfriends?" She asked as she went to the phone to call for the police.
Sunghoon sat down and stared at the lifeless body, still in disbelief. Daera explained to the police what happened and thanked them after they told her when they'll be arriving.
"I'm going to solve this once and for all," he said before taking his coat and going to his bedroom. She watched him and glanced at the body, taking a closer look at it.
She watched as the detectives took a closer look at Ahrin's body. Sunghoon folded his arms as he watched them do their work. "The bruises and wounds showed that she just got killed a few hours ago. It seems like the person who killed her must have kept their grudge against you. Do you have anyone hating you or jealous of you, Dr Park?"
"I don't know. I'm not sure," Sunghoon exhaled heavily. "Who do you think is the culprit, detective?" Daera asked.
"Probably his jealous colleagues? Could be his students? Maybe some of them have a crush on him? Or maybe his past lovers? Could be anyone."
"I'll be more cautious around my surroundings and let you know if there's something fishy," Sunghoon said. The detective nodded, "That would be great."
The man looked at Daera, "You, young lady, should always be careful. We never know if you would be next. Always be cautious of your surroundings."
She nodded and watched as he walked to his other partners, discussing something.
