"What?" Sunghoon's hands dropped to his sides. He looked at Daera with stunned eyes. She looked away, "I liked you."
"Since when?"
He tried to process the information, still surprised. He cleared his throat awkwardly, "Do you still have feelings for me?"
She looked at him for a while, thinking of an answer. Do I? She asked herself. "No," she answered blankly. He nodded slowly before grabbing her things, "Let's go. I'll take you home."
"No, thank you. I can get home by my–"
"Fine then. Do you want to stay here for the whole night with those guys?" He pointed at the group of men who were smoking and eyeing her out creepily. She gulped in fear before linking her arm with Sunghoon's for support since the ground was slippery due to the rain.
He put his hand on her head to shield her face from the rain and they both ran to his car. They both got in and he turned the heater on, "It's going to get cold tonight. Wear your seatbelt," he ordered.
She ignored him as she was too busy checking her wet clothes. He looked at her and sighed before leaning closer and putting on the seatbelt for her. Her eyes widened, "What are you–"
He sat back in his seat and held the steering wheel, ignoring her. Her cheeks formed a rosy colour as they started getting warmer and warmer. She cleared her throat awkwardly and leaned to the other side, seeing the raindrops falling against the window.

Jake was still in his office, going through all the paperwork of his patients. The door opened, revealing Edlyn with two cups of coffee. He smiled and sat on the couch, watching her put them on the table.
"Jiah is staying at your parents' house for the night," she said as she took a seat next to him. He pulled her into a cuddle and kissed her head, "How's the surgery?"
"Oh my God. I just stood up for 9 hours. I'm too tired," she whined. He chuckled, "You have to get used to it. You're going to be the next hospital director."
"Does that mean I'm going to be your boss?" She asked excitedly.
"No."
He drank his coffee. She scoffed in disbelief and took her cup. "I heard that Jay and Sunghoon went to Daera's hometown and stayed at her parents' house?" He asked confusedly.
She laughed, "I don't know how that happened. Jay had a reason because it was getting late to go back home. But Sunghoon, he confuses me too."
"Do you think he still has feelings for her?" He asked. Edlyn exhaled heavily, "Maybe. I'm not sure about my brother tho. He hides his feelings very well."
After a few minutes of talking and laughing, Jake walked her to the door to see her off before her next shift starts. Their eyes widened at the sight of a familiar girl walking around the hallway.
"Yeona?" Edlyn called. The said girl approached her and pulled her into a hug, "Edlyn! It's been a while since we've seen each other!"
She never liked Yeona. The girl was too controlling and thought that she was better than her. Yeona was 2 years older than her and used to date Sunghoon. It made her sick that she always had to see her every time she comes to the hospital.
"How's life? You didn't invite me to your wedding!" Yeona laughed. Edlyn chuckled awkwardly and gritted her teeth before mumbling to Jake, "There's a reason why I didn't invite her."
"What are you doing here, Yeona?" He asked, clearing his throat to change the topic. She smiled, "Have you seen Sunghoon?"
"He's on a vacation. Why?"
"Oh, nothing. Just wanted to see him," she frowned, "I'll see you guys later!"
She left the hallway. Edlyn's smile faded, "Why is she searching for him anyway? Didn't they break up and she humiliated him?"
"I don't know," he shrugged. They kissed goodbye and he watched her as she walked to the operating room for her next patient.

Dear diary,
The time I spent at Pohang was the best I ever had. I get to spend time with Daera. The funny thing is how Sunghoon suddenly knows about the city too. He is not the type to go to a small city and stay at a small house.
It was funny because he and Daera kept arguing like siblings. And as usual, I would watch them from afar. Sometimes, it felt like watching your siblings' quarrel but sometimes, it made me feel like I was watching a lovers' quarrel. I didn't know how to feel that time. But it was fun. Maybe I'm just thinking too much.
Jay closed his diary and put down his pen. He stood in front of the glass window at his penthouse, drinking some tea while watching the skyscrapers greeting him with their twinkling lights.
