Daera sat on her bed, her knees close to her chest. The sun was shining through her window. She should get up and gotten ready for work but her mind was occupied with the thought of Jay being angry at her.

After the dinner last night, he stepped into the house and went straight to his bedroom, locking the door. She walked slowly to her room and her chest was filled with guilt ever since.

She sighed and opened the door and headed to the kitchen. Jay was already there, fixing the buttons of his sleeves. He looked at her, still in his straight face.

Breakfast was already on the table. Despite being angry, he still cooked for her knowing that she would be very hungry in the morning.

"Will you come home late?" She asked, clenching her fists nervously. He sighed and checked his watch, "No. I only have classes today at the medical school. I heard you have a late-night shift today. Drive home safely," he said and headed straight to the entrance, leaving her.

She frowned and sat down slowly, helping herself with the food.

She walked towards her car and checked whether she brought all the things she needed in her handbag. Her heels made sounds as she step on the parking lot floor.

A yellow note was on the wipers to her car. She picked it up and smiled, seeing a note from Jay.

I love you and remember that always — Jay

Her smile faded when she couldn't recognize the writing. She watched Jay write all the time and the writing style on the post-it note wasn't his.

She gulped in fear and slowly sneaked a glance at the inside of her car. A woman was sitting in the backseat, wearing a black outfit with her face hidden under the black cap but she already knew who the woman was.

Bae Yeona.

She slowly backed away and immediately sprinted to the door. She heard the car door open and footsteps chasing after her.

Just a little bit more...

She almost reached the door when suddenly, two men grabbed her by the arms and waist and cupped her face with a piece of cloth that had a chemical liquid.

She smelled it and her head started spinning. Her hands weakly fell to the sides as she stopped pushing the man's strong arms away.

Yeona took off her cap and exhaled heavily, "Take her to the car."

The men nodded and instantly carried Daera's unconscious body to their black SUV.

Jay was about to take his glasses when they fell to the floor. He suddenly felt uneasiness filling his chest up. He frowned and exhaled heavily, "I don't feel good."

"Are you okay?" Heeseung asked as he held his books closer to his chest.

"I don't know. I feel uneasy. Like something's wrong," he answered. Sunghoon, who was typing something on his phone lifted his face to look at him, "Maybe you ate something wrong this morning?"

"Maybe."

Sunghoon's phone rang and they all looked at each other worriedly, seeing Yeona's name displayed on the screen.

"Put it on speaker," Jay ordered sternly, biting the insides of his cheek. His jawline became sharper as he looked at his friend intensely, waiting for him to pick up the call.

Sunghoon took a deep breath and answered the call, "Yeona?"

"Sunghoon! Sunghoon help!" Daera's voice was heard, followed by muffled sounds after.

"Daera!" He called worriedly. Jay widened his eyes in shock.

"Listen to that angelic voice calling for help, Sunghoon. Just imagine how nice her voice will be when this gun that I'm holding shoots a bullet into her head," Yeona laughed and ended the call.

"No. No! Sunghoon, call her back!" Jay ordered, pressing the phone screen aggressively.

"I'll call my detective to track her down. Cancel all your classes today. We must save Daera," Sunghoon ordered.
