Attack Of The Red Lotus

The two spiritmates were sound asleep when suddenly Naga roared making the two jump awake before they were shot with a paralysing darts, they looked up to see a very tall lady and a man with long hair and a long mustache as their vision started getting fuzzy.

Korra was picked up by the long haired man while Anima was picked up by the tall woman as the group then made their escape "hey let them go!" Mako shouted as he threw a fireball at the four intruders, Bolin threw a rock at them only for the armless waterbender to grab it and destroyed before the group of kidnappers attacked back.

Sirens and lights illuminated the groups presence" so much for the element of surprise" the water bender says as they got into a group formation "back up plan" the long haired earth bender said before the tall woman started sending explosive shots from her mind around the area.

Anima's eyes were looking round desperately trying to see what was happening, she was scared beyond belief as she haired screams before metal panels covered the group "we have you surrounded, release The Avatar and Spirit bender!" Kuvira shouted demandingly.

The two people carrying Korra and Anima put them down before the long haired man made the ground lava, fortunately Korra and Anima where placed in such a way that they could see each other.

The two saw the fear in each others eyes as destruction was happening around them, they looked around seeing their kidnappers, they knew it was the Red Lotus and they were an absolute unit working side by side with efficiency and team work, all this frightened the two.

As the two were frightened for their lives they felt themselves being lifted up Anima could tell it was her mother and Su "it's ok Anima, you're safe" she heard the low voice of her mother as she held onto her daughter like life depended on it.

As they were going up a flying bald man was coming towards them firing air blasts on them, as he got closer Su pulled Lin then pushed her away before throwing four little knives through his glider making him go back down the ground as they to the top of the dome the two sisters placed Korra and Anima on the ground.

Lin looked over the two and didn't see anything wrong with them apart from them being paralysed, they looked back into the dome and saw that the group had disappeared "where did they go?" Lin asked as she looked at Su "they can't be far" the younger Beifong then grabbed the radio "guards, search the entire estate" she demanded before giving the radio back to her son.

Su looked back at her sister and saw that she now had the two girls in her arms "they'll be ok, I'll get an anti toxin made for whatever they've been paralysed with" Su reassured her sister, Lin looked down at her daughters sighed before getting up, picking Anima up in the process "we need to get back in doors quickly" Su nodded before she picked up Korra and they quickly got back to Su's house were they placed the two girls on separate couches as they waited for the truth seer to come with an anti toxin.

Lin stayed close to the girls as she saw that the two girls were still a little scared, she placed her hand on Anima's hair and gently stroked her hand through it thinking she should of done more to protect them.

"I've got the antidote, it should neutralise the shirashu toxins" the truth seer says as he enters the room, giving the two girls the antidote, Korra moved her finger as the liquid began to take effect, Anima stayed still for a few moments before turning her head towards Korra thinking she should of been more alert and protected her more"how could you let this happen!?" Lin raised her voice as she turned to Su" you assured me this was one of the most secure places in the world"

The younger Beifong deflated a little as she looked at her niece, ashamed of herself that she let this happen on her watch "it is, I don't know what happend but it was obviously a well planned operation, so don't blame me" Lin couldn't deny that Su was right, she knew that the Red Lotus are extremely dangerous and well planned but she still couldn't believe that she let her guard down.

"we searched the entire estate, but there's no sign of them" Kuvira informed them as she walked in making Lin turn to her "well, Keep Looking!" she ordered making Kuvira nod before running off.

"it would seem they had some inside knowledge of Zaofu, they must of been working with someone" the truth seer suggests as Korra rised up holding her head, Anima also did but didn't hold her head, she immediately went to Korra and comforted her, even if she was feeling the same way Korra was "the-the guards, it had to be one of them" Korra got out as she closed her eyes and leaned against Anima, who let Korra's head rest on her chest.

"question them all! Whoever betrayed my city and hurt my neices will suffer the consequences!" Su stormed out with the other two following her leaving the two spirit mates alone.

"are you ok, Korra?" Anima asked lowly, she felt Korra nod "are you ok?" the Avatar asked as she gently took hold of Anima's hand "I'm about as good as you" Korra chuckled a little "so not good at all" the blue eyed girl says making Anima have a little giggle before she looked off and thought about what happend tonight.

"was you scared?" Anima asked and Korra sighed as her hold on Anima got a little tighter "I was terrified, I couldn't move, I couldn't even scream for help" Korra listed, Anima could tell that Korra was getting a little distressed so she started playing with the Avatars hair, softly dragging her hand through Korra's brunette locks making her calm down.

"They fought like-like an elite team, I can't imagine what would of happend if they got away with us" Anima pondered on the thought as she saw that Korra was struggling to keep her eyes open "go to sleep, I'll be here with you when you wake up" Anima kissed Korra's head making the Avatar snuggle closer and shut her eyes.

Anima smiled down at her girlfriend as she continued to gently play with her hair, after so long Anima struggled to keep her eyes open but she needed to keep them open, she needed to be conscious to protect Korra but unfortunately her eyes closed and she fell asleep clutching Korra tightly so she couldn't be hurt again.
