Invetation To A Party

A week after Tarrlok had visited, Korra hadn't changed her mind but her and Anima had stopped sharing a bed, when Korra asked for a reason Anima said it was a little weird for two friends to be in the same bed all of the time.

It didn't help that Korra had nightmares, and couldn't go to Anima because she said no more sleeping together, it made Korra feel sad for reasons she didn't understand, and caused her to have restless nights, making her tired during the day.

Right now, Korra was Petting Naga while she watched Anima train, Korra was mesmerised by the way spirit bending looked, and how effortless Anima made it look "hello fellow team mates!" Bolin said as he approached the two "hey Bo, how's it going?" Anima asked as she breathed heavily walking up to him and giving him a high five.

"nothing much but missed you both at practice this week" he said and both Anima and Korra looked down "yeah, sorry about that" Korra said sadly and continued to rub Naga's belly "yeah sorry Bo, I had to train on my special bending" Anima smiled at him causing him to blush a little, this caused Korra to feel the angry feeling again, she hated feeling it and wanted it to stop.

"aw it's all right, we're probably out of the tournament anyway, unless some money miraculously drops out of the sky by tomorrow, anyway the reason I came by was to give both you these" he said handing the two girls a small cake and a flower.

"aw Bolin, these are so pretty and deserve a little gift back" Anima said and hugged Bolin before lightly kissing his cheek, Korra's fist clenched at the action while Bolin was blushing like crazy, Korra shook the feeling off and asked what the gifts were for "uh, oh I can't remember now, oh yeah now I remember. You both saved me from Amon"

"oh that, it was no big deal" Korra said shyly "no big deal are you serious? I was totally freaking out he was coming at me with his creepy mask, all, I will take away your bending forever, I mean that is some scary stuff I still can't sleep right" when Bolin said that, Anima noticed the slight flinch Korra did and saw her hand shaking.

Anima sat next to Korra and put her arm around Korra's shoulders, to try and and comfort her, Korra felt better untill Anima took her arm off  "delivery for Avatar Korra" the three looked to see a woman carrying a big box of flowers and presents "Tarrlok sends his compliments and urges you to reconsider his offer"

"tell him I haven't changed my mind" Korra said a little annoyed as the woman left, Bolin turned back around to face Korra "who's this Tarrlok guy is he bothering you?" Bolin asked as he bashed his fist into his hand "cause I could have a word with him" Bolins little actions made Korra smile a little "no, it's not like that" Korra said as she wrapped her arms around her legs.

"he's this council member who wants Korra to join this little group thing he's doing to stop Amon" Anima explained and Bolin smiled "that's better, I like that one better"

A few days later a Sato-mobile arrived at Air Temple Island, Korra face palmed as she saw the mighty machine, Anima just stared at it like it was the best thing ever.

"who's is this?" Anima asked and Korra sighed "it's a gift from Tarrlok, I don't even know how to drive" Korra complained.

Anima smiled to herself as she got in the drivers seat "could I have it?" Anima asked shyly and Korra decided to use this to her advantage to get a peaceful night sleep "yeah, on one condition" Korra said smirking.

"which is?" Anima pushed Korra on to say it, Korra placed her elbows on the edge of the door and placed her face in her hands "whenever I have a nightmare, you let me sleep with you in your bed" Anima sighed, she didn't want to grow more attached to Korra when she will eventually get with another person "then I'm not having it" Anima said quietly and Korra frowned as the purple eyed girl got out of the Sato-mobile.

Anima was walking away when Korra caught her by her shoulder "Amy please, I only have a good night's rest when I'm with you, and I don't care if its weird for friends to do that" Korra sighed as a little tear came out of her eye "I I just want a good night sleep" Anima turned around and hugged Korra, who buried her head in the crook of Anima's neck as more tears fell.

"fine, but no more tears ok" Anima said as she wiped a tear going down Korra's cheek, The Avatar nodded and smiled as she went in for another hug, Anima stroked Korra's hair before they were interrupted by the gift woman again "Avatar Korra, I have something for you" the woman stopped noticing the moment between the two girls.

"whatever gift it is, Korra's not gonna change her mind" Anima said as they stopped hugging "but it's not a gift, it's a invitation to a gala being thrown by Tarrlok" the Woman handed the peace of paper to Anima before leaving.

"we should tell Tenzin" Anima said and Korra agreed, they both went to find the airbender and told him about it, he decided they should go and they all got ready for the evening.

Anima wore a purple dress, while Korra wore a blue one, Korra thought Anima looked stunning and smiled, while Anima did the same.

They arrived at the gala and as they walked in everyone started clapping "I can't believe this is all for me" Korra said and looked around at all the people "I'm not sure what Tarrlok is planning, but keep your guard up, it's not like him to throw a party just for the fun of it" Tenzin said as Tarrlok guided Korra and Anima to Mr Sato.

Anima couldn't believe she was meeting the creative mind behind the Sato-mobile "I'd like to introduce Republic city's most famous industrialist, Hieoshi Sato" Tarrlok said, Anima and Korra bowed "nice to meet you" Korra said.

"we're all expecting great things from you" Mr Sato said and Korra looked down and shunk a little "right, greatness"

"hey Korra Anima" Mako said as he approached the two with a beautiful girl on his arm, Anima looked at Asami and thought she knew her from somewhere, but put the thought in the back of her mind.

"I'd like to introduce my daughter, Asami" Mr Sato said and Asami gave them a wave "its so nice to meet you both, Mako has said a lot about you" Asami said and Korra crossed her arms "really? Because he hasn't mentioned you at all, how did you two meet?" Korra asked sounding jealous, it made a frown appear on Anima's face.

"Asami crashed into him on her moped" Bolin said sliding into the conversation and slide-in out again, Korra got a face of worry "what? Are you ok?" she asked in a worried tone.

Mako just smiled "I'm fine, I'm more then fine, Mr Sato agreed to sponsor our team we're back in the tournament-isn't that great?" Bolin asked holding onto Mako's shoulder "yeah great" Korra said sadly, she didn't know what she was feeling, but she didn't like the thought of Mako being with Asami.

"Chief Beifong, I believe you and Avatar Korra have met already" Tarrlok said bring Anima's mother over.

Anima tensed up as Lin came over, remembering their last conversation, Lin insulted Korra which Anima hated but she needed to talk to her mother again, as Lin was about to walk off Anima grabbed her shoulder "Mom, can we talk?" Anima pleaded, Lin turned around and had a sad look in her eye but nodded and guided Anima to another room so they could have privacy.

"I'm just gonna go and say it, I'm sorry for what I said to you, you aren't a terrible mother but I just need you more in my life" Anima began and Lin sighed before nodding "no, what you said is true, I haven't being the best mother but I want to change that" Lin said and Anima smiled a little, she went to hug her mother but Lin stopped her "to big of a leap" Lin said with a smirk, it made Anima laugh a little.

When they came out of the room, Anima saw Korra being asked many questions about Amon and Tarrloks task force, she instantly went to save her but it was too late, the questions had made Korra blow "I'm not afraid of anybody! If the city needs me.... then I'll join Tarrloks task force and help fight Amon" Anima could sense that as soon as Korra stopped talking, she regretted the words she said.

Straight after the party, Tarrlok took Korra before Anima could even talk to her, for the next few days, Anima couldn't sleep, she didn't see Korra much and it saddened her, but one night, she got out of her bed and looked out of her window, she felt a pull to Aang memorial island, so she got dressed and went to the island, subconsciously knowing that Korra needed her help.
