Traitor Of The Metal Clan

Korra's eyes opened slowly as they looked round, she knew she was in Su's living room and remembered falling asleep laying on Anima.

The Avatar moved a little and looked to see a sleeping Anima, Korra smiled as she gently kissed the purple eyed girls head before getting up off of her, Korra did note that Anima looked tired and desided to leave her to sleep knowing it would be good for her girlfriend.

Korra wrote a little note telling Anima she had woke up and went to start  interrogating people before walking back to their shared room and when she entered she saw the smashed window and shards of glass everywhere, she got flashbacks to the night before and shuddered slightly as she entered the bathroom and got ready.

Once she was ready she exited the room and went straight to the dinning room to see Su and Lin, who looked at her and smiled slightly "wheres Ani?" Lin asked as Korra sat down "still sleeping" the Avatar answered.

"so who are we going to interrogate first, the guards or the servants?" Lin asked her sister who thought for a second "the guards, they have the most knowledge about the ins and outs of the city" Su explained, Lin nodded and looked towards Korra as the girl ate her breakfast, Lin looked over Korra to see if she missed any cuts or bruises when she looked over her the night before "did you and Ani sleep ok?" Lin asked softly.

"it took us a while but I'd say we slept good, well I did, I think Amy stayed up a little longer" Korra guessed as she shrugged a little, thinking about Anima.

"she's like me, well sometimes, on guard ready to protect anyone she cares about" Lin noted "she probably did stay up a little longer to see if anything else happend" Korra smiled a little 'my Anima, always protective' Korra thought but then went back to her food.

Anima woke up from her sleep stretching a little before realising that Korra was no longer laid on her, she jumped up frantically looking round the room before her eyes landed on a note, she quickly picked it up and read it, she calmed down knowing where Korra was and instantly breathed a sigh of relief.

"thank Raava" she sighed before sitting back on the couch "I need to get my head straight" she layed back and looked up to the ceiling for a few seconds, she shook her head and went to get ready before going to find the others.

"-maybe it was someone higher on the food chain" Anima heard the voice of her mother from a room, she walked closer to the door seeing a long line of guards next to it, when she walked on she saw Su sitting at the table with Aiwei the truth seer "what is your full name?" he asked her.

"Suyin Beifong, I'm the daughter of Cara and Toph Beifong and the only sister to Lin, and I had nothing to do with the attack last night" Su explained as she saw Anima walk through the door "she's telking the truth" Aiwei turned round to look at Lin making Korra groan "this is a waste of time bring in the next guard" Korra says as she folded her arms frustratedly.

"don't get frustrated, Kory" Anima smiled lightly surprising the Korra who gasped before hugging the taller girl "we don't have time for lovely dovie stuff, next guard come in" Lin ordered as Korra let go of Anima as another guard came in "give me your name and tell me where you are from" Aiwei stated to guard.

"I'm Hong Li. I was born and raised here in Zaofu" He stated

"do you have any knowledge of the people who tried to kidnap The Avatar and Anima Beifong?" Aiwei asked

"no" Aiwei leaned forward and narrowed his eyes "did you help the attackers enter Zaofu last night?" he asked a little more aggressively "no of course not!"

"you're lying"

Hong Li gasped as Su grabbed him and pushed him against the wall "how did they get in and out?! Where are they now?!" she shouted while he stayed still, scared if what Su was going to do next "I don't know! I'm telling you, I didn't help them"

"you're a traitor to the entire clan" Su stated as she let him drop to the floor "I suggest we search his place" Aiwei suggested, Su ordered some guards to take Hong Li to a prison cell while the others started making their way to his house "I guess quick to anger runs in the family" Anima chuckled a little as she walked next to Korra, while the others walked a little ahead "but I've never seen you angry, I think" Korra committed as she grabbed Anima's hand.

"that's because when I'm with you I'm as calm as a turtleduck in water" Anima smiled as Korra rolled her eyes playfully "just can't stop been cheesy can you, Beifong" Korra smirked as she looked ahead "you know you love it, Avatar"

Korra kissed Anima's cheek "I know I do" she stated before they arrived at Hong Li's house, they started searching and after 30 minutes Mako found something "I found something" he says making everyone look at him "it's a piece of paper that says 'team assembled ready to rendezvous" he read off the paper as Asami held a book "and look at this" she handed it to Aiwei who opened it and skimmed over it "this the guards log books, all their schedules and routes are in here"

Korra narrowed her eyes as she placed her hands on her hips "that guard knows everything, we have to get him to talk"

"let's go confront him with this evidence right now" Mako says "no!" Aiwei says a little to quickly before he cleared his throat "let's give him a little time to sweat it out, he will talk eventually" Aiwei then walked off as Mako looked at him suspiciously "why don't you all go back to the scene of the attack and see if you can find anything" he suggested as he walked out of the house.

The five teenagers went to scene of the attack and as Anima stood in the middle of the very spot she was just a few hours ago, she started to shake a little, she remembered how powerless she felt, how she couldn't do anything to protect Korra or herself as the Red Lotus nearly got away with them "hey" Anima heard Asmai's soft voice break her out of her thoughts "are you ok?" She asked worry present in her voice, Anima just put on a small smile "I'm fine, Sami just a little cold" Asami put a small smile on her face as she went back to searching the site, worried about her best friend.

"I don't understand why we're not talking to that guard right now" Mako stood up from the ground "every minute we waste here, those guys get further away" he then faced the rest of the group walking a little closer "I mean, how does a random guard get involved with a group of super criminals, anyway?" he asked them.

"what do you mean?" Asmai asked placing one hand in her hip "that guard is only 18 years old, and has lived his entire life in Zaofu, Zaheer and his gang have been in prison for more then 13 years" Mako explained and Anima thought about it and came to a conclusion "I don't know, but we all saw the evidence" Korra says but Anima put her hand on her chin "yes we saw the evidence, but what if it was planted, we all know its possible, Varrick did it to Mako so what's stopping anyone doing it to Hong Li"  Anima stated with a raised eyebrows, Korra smiled a little at how cute Anima looked in that very moment.

"Anima's right, all the evidence points to this one guard, but maybe he's the fall guy" Mako agreed

"but for who?" Bolin asked as Mako thought for a second "for the only person who can truly keep a secret in this city, Aiwei"
