Filling Them With Mercury

Anima and Korra awoke to find themselves chained over a lava pit Korra tried to break free "you won't get out" they heard the voice of Zaheer "unless the metal clan taught you a way to bend platinum" he taunted, behind him was someone holding a floating metal looking liquid.

"once we administer the poison, your body will naturally react, forcing you both into the avatar and spirit state in an effort to keep you alive" he then laughed evily "unfortunately, it will be the last time" Korra gasped "no! The cycles will end!" Korra shouted only for Zaheer to place his hands behind his back "when we dispatch you both in your states, the cycles end and this band of brothers and sisters in anarchy, are witnessing the beginning of an era of true freedom, no kings, Queens, nations without borders man will have no allegiance but to themselves and those they love. We will return to the true balance of natural order" Zaheer then closed his eyes for a few moments as he brought his hands out to point at Anima and Korra "you both will never be reborn but your names will echo thoughout history Korra the last avatar and Anima Beifong the last spirit bender"

Anima and Korra looked at each other, fear present in their eyes as they looked back at Zaheer "now I'm sorry for not been prepared, we're making more poison as we speak, it's really hard to make and this batch is...well let's just say very old" Zaheer stated making Anima more scared as she knew Zaheer wouldn't wait, she'd have to watch korra suffer.

"administer the poison to the avatar" Zaheer commanded "no!" Anima yelled pulling at her chains as hard as she could but it was no use, the poison floated through the air towards Korra, who's breathing had sped up quickly, it first soaked into her legs making the avatar groan in pain.

Anima watched as the poison fully soaked into Korra's skin making the avatar go limp "Korra?" Anima questioned  quietly before Korra's head flew back and screams echoed throughout the cave, Korra's eyes glitching between normal and bright blue  "get ready" Zaheer commanded.

Korra's eyes shined blue as her body struggled against the chains "Korra fight it please!" Anima pleaded, begged, for her girlfriend to not go into the avatar state, knowing it would be her end, Korra looked down, fighting the prisons effect "she can't resist for long" Anima looked towards Zaheer as one of his henchmen brought more poison "just in time, administer the poison to the Spirit bender"

Anima watched at the poison got closer and closer and closer until she felt the cold metallic liquid penetrait her skin making her scream in pain "at least you'll die together"

Anima could feel the poison crawling its way through her veins, circling her body setting everything she could feel on fire, she could feel the pull towards the spirit state, her body wanted to go into it, begged to go into it to try and help save her, but she was fighting it, trying to hold onto herself not to give into the urge "nobody's coming for you, nobody will save you, just give up!" Zaheer shouted but the girls tried not to listen.

They both were fighting, but you can't win a loosing battle but they were fighting, Anima looked up and around the room, her eyes glitching, she looked at a henchmen, his head transforming into Tenzin "all that potential, wasted on you, just give up Anima" his voice echoed as she looked at another guard their head transforming into Cara "I left because of you, to get away from you, give up Anima" her breath began to get quick as her heart sped up.

Anima groaned as pain filled her body looking directly at Zaheer his head shifting into Lin "Give up Anima, I'm not coming to save you, nobody is, nobody cares about you Anima, just.... Give... Up"

Anima cried out as her barriers finally broke, Korra breaking just a little after, both going into their states "now, kill them both!" Zaheer ordered as the armless water bender launched her water whip at them both.

Korra blew fire out her mouth as she ripped one of her chains off the wall bringing a large boulder out with it, using it to launch the water bender into the wall knocking her down, Anima ripped her leg chains off as the lava bender nearly engulfed the two, Anima used her now free legs to send the lava straight towards him, making the man jump out of the way as both girls got free of their chains landing on the ground with a big thud, leaving an impact crater.

They both let out a terrifying roar as they both got 2 massive boulders each throwing them at Zaheer, only just dodging them before trying to fly away, Korra launched herself using her fire bending as a way to thrust herself though the air, Anima following close behind on an air scooter trying to catch the madman.

Anima suddenly felt a pain shoot through her body as Korra and Zaheer flew into the air, Anima held her head as it pounded, the poison was nearly done with her, she could feel it her body shutting down.

Looking back up, she saw Korra launching massive parts of the rock formations at Zaheer who was either dodging them or trying to direct them back at Korra with his air bending. Anima shot up in pain again making her bendover on the floor, shaking violently untill she felt a strong wind. Looking up she saw the air benders making a tornado, looking at the top of it she saw Zaheer trying to fly away with Korra, it looked like he was winning against it.

Anima groaned as she struggled to stand up, giving her last bit of energy to walk closer to other air benders "Anima!" Jinora shouted but the purple eyed girl walked straight past her into the centre before adding to the tornado making it 6 times bigger then it already was pulling Zaheer down. He knew he couldn't escape it Korra, so he let her go and went to fly off but the avatar had other ideas, she latched the chain on her wrist to his leg, dragging him down to the ground with massive thud before being encased in rock by Suyin.

As Korra landed Anima caught her as they both immediately collapsed to the ground exhausted, not able to withstand the pain anymore, Tonroq and Lin went to their respective daughter, Lin looked at her daughter, feeling her shake in pain "you'll be ok Ani, just hold on.... Please" Lin begged as she looked into Anima's glowing eyes, getting dimmer and dimmer "I-I love you, mom" Anima's eyes then went to normal before closing, her body going limp in Lin's arms.

Zaheer began to chuckle "its finally done, the red lotus has-DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'VE JUST TOOK FROM ME!" Lin shouted as she grabbed him by the throat, she was so loud it echoed through the area "Lin!" Jinora grabbed hold of Lin's arm making her release the tight grip she had on Zaheer neck "the poison is metallic, you and Su might be able to save them" Jinora told her quickly, hoping that Korra and her sister could be saved.

Lin and Su rushed to the girls, it was only a few seconds but to everyone around them, it felt like time had slowed, the moments crawling before Korra and Anima's eyes shot open glowing their respective colour as poison came flowing out of their mouths making them cough harshly, Lin immediately went to Anima, who slowly opened her eyes looking at her mother "Mom?" Lin hugged her daughter tight for a couple moments relieved that both Anima and Korra were alive.

"no! the revelution has begun, chaos is the-" Suyin silenced Zaheer with a massive punch to the face knocking him out, surprising everyone, Su looked round "what? He nearly killed my nieces" she says shaking her hand as the punch did hurt her "what are we going to do now?" Su asked Lin who was still holding onto her daughter before picking her up as Tonroq picked up Korra "we're going home" Lin stated as the two parents walked steadily towards the air ship, thankful that their daughters were alive after all the chaos.
