Leaving The South Pole

Anima looked into the mirror at her disfigured body, scratches and scars all over, not helped by the fact she'd lost alot of her muscle from not training, she was disappointed that she'd actually gained a bit of weight.

She traced her scars before sighing and putting on a baggy top and exiting her room, making her way to the living room seeing Senna, Korra's mother "Anima my dear how are you feeling today?" the older woman asked with a smile as she was chopping up some meat for tonights meal.

Anima smiled weakly "I'm fine, just a bit tired, where's Korra?" she asked and Senna thought for a second "I think shes out practicing her bending again" the older woman said, Anima thanked her and walked out the house towards the cliff that Korra liked to practice her bending at.

After a crisp 5 minute walk Anima saw Korra in all her glory, practicing her bending, she loved seeing her girlfriend bending, making it look effortless, after a few minutes of admiration Anima walked over "hey Kory" Anima greeted making Korra stop and look at her and smile before hugging the slightly taller girl "how long have you been out here?" Anima asked as they broke away "uh, I have no idea" Korra rubbed her neck slightly "a long time then" Anima shook her head slightly with a smile "what's on that pretty mind of yours?" the brunette asked and Korra sighed before looking out to the sea "I've been thinking for a while about going back to Republic City" Korra confessed.

"but we're not re-I know" Korra admitted cutting Anima off "I know we're not ready but we're so much better then we was a year ago, I think we need to go back" Anima just groaned a little "Korra I know you feel useless, I know your sense of duty to being the Avatar drives you but just think for a little bit more" Anima walked a little closer to Korra "I can't bend so I'm litteraly useless in a fight-no you're not-let me finish" Anima cut Korra off so she could get her point across.

"I can't bend, you can but your out of practice, I keep having seizures out of nowhere, you can't sleep at night" Anima grabbed Korra's hands "we need to stay and heal, Katara knows what she's doing" Korra sighed looking up at the sky and then back down "I feel like I've hit a wall, I'm not making any progress anymore and I believe going to where the action is will help me" Korra admitted to Anima, who put her hands to her face for a second sighing into them.

The young Beifong thought for a few seconds, to Korra those seconds felt like minutes, The Avatar wanted her other half to come with her even if Anima couldn't use her bending, Korra knew that without Anima by her side giving her strength, motivation and love she'd of given up a while ago.

Anima took a deep breath before exahiling a little "fine, we can go back to Republic City" Korra sighed releaved and hugged Anima before kissing her head "thank you Amy, I don't know what I would of done if you didn't agree" Korra admitted and Anima raised her eyebrow "probably of begged me until I agreed" the purple eyed girl stated as Korra rubbed her arm "maybe, we'll never know anyway, I'll tell my mom and dad tonight and we'll leave in the morning, sound good?" Korra asked slightly excited making Anima hold her hands up "whoa slow down, that's a bit quick don't you think?" The purple eyed girl asked her girlfriend "no, we've been here for how long? 2 years? It's about time we left don't you think"

Anima just chuckled a little "alright, I'll go pack some stuff" Anima hugged Korra before walking back to the house and packing some essentials, as she was packing she found one of her old tops, it was her favourite one as it used to belong to Korra, she felt the fabric rubbing it a little, Anima knew it wouldn't fit her anymore but she still packed it for good luck.

In the morning Anima woke up to find Korra packing her stuff grabbing things from around the room "morning sleepy head" Korra smiled before waking over and kissing her girlfriend "how long have you been up?" Anima asked rubbing her eyes "not long, my dad said the boat will be waiting for us" Korra informed Anima who layed back down "I agree with you now"
