Joining The Team

Anima decided to go back to Air Temple Island after Korra left her to go train with the brothers, she felt like Korra wasn't going to hang out with her any more because now, she has two new celebritie friends.

Anima jumped from the window of the pro bending Arena and water tornadoed her way home, when she arrived Cara was waiting in the courtyard "Ani, are you ok?" she asked worriedly "y-yeah I'm fine" Anima said lowly Cara smiled sadly.

"come on dear what's wrong? You can tell your Gran Gran" Cara then patted the seat next to her in the bench for Anima to sit, which she did with a sigh.

"it's just seems like me and Korra aren't clicking, I thought spirit mates were meant to fall in love instantly and never be away from each other, but then as soon as Korra meets some new people she leaves me behind" Anima said sadly and Cara grabbed hold of Anima as she leaned on her grandmother "Korra's just excited, imagine being trapped in one place for so long and not meeting new people, she'll get over it soon don't worry" Cara said sweetly, Anima just sighed "I'm beginning to think this whole spirit mate thing is a bunch of nonsense"

"don't say that dear, she'll come around, try and make her jealous, that always seems to make people aware of their feelings" Cara smiled and Anima laughed "if an opportunity rises I'll try, night Gran Gran" Anima said and went to her room.

She changed from her training gear into her PJs and got in bed, a few hours past and Anima heard her door open slightly "she's fine" Anima heard Korra's voice whistler a sigh of relief at the fact she was in he bed, the door closed and Anima was confused as to why Korra wanted to check on her.

The morning came and Anima did what she normally would do if Korra wasn't here, which was train like hell, Anima didn't get a ripped body by slouching around, she got ready in her training gear and went to the courtyard.

She began by practising some moves, with each kick, flip and punch a purple/pink energy came out, she would of gone for another hour or two, but she heard frustrated yells and decided to check who it was.

Korra was destroying the training fans out of frustration and anger and Anima couldn't believe it "that was a 2000 year-old historical treasure- what- what is wrong with you?" Tenzin yelled at Korra who just walked angry at him "there's nothing wrong with me, I've been practicing just like you taught me, but it isn't syncing in, ok? It hasn't clicked like you said it would" Korra yelled at Tenzin

"Korra, this isn't something you can force, if you would only listen to me" Tenzin began but Korra had had enough "I have been! But you know what I think? Maybe the problem isn't me maybe the reason I haven't learnt airbending yet is because you're a terrible teacher!" Korra yelled and Anima was shocked, Tenzin just groaned as Meelo copied what Korra said.

"Tenzin" Anima said announcing her presence to the airbender who turned round while his two daughters hugged him "yes" he said sounding defeated "your not a terrible teacher, she's just being a teenager" Anima said and Tenzin sighed while he held his two daughters.

"it's just hard to get thought to her, do you think you could talk to her try to get her to see reason?" Tenzin asked, Anima sighed but nodded "I'll try, but I'm not promising anything" she said and walked in the direction Korra went.

"Korra?" Anima yelled out only to hear a splash, she ran to the edge of the cliff to see Korra swimming in the ocean towards the pro bending Arena "you little-" she said in frustration and jumped off the cliff creating a water tornado and got there faster then Korra.

Korra climes though the same window as Anima just to be scared by the girl "how what who?" Korra said and Anima placed her finger on the girls lips which made Korra blush a little "what you said to Tenzin was really mean, he's just trying his best" Anima said and Korra scoffed "he's not letting me have any freedom"

"that's all you want, then enjoy this freedom, come on let's go see a pro bending match, but please no flirting with the boys, it makes me gag" Anima said with a smirk that made Korra blush "I I wasn't f flirting with them" she stuttered out as they went to the entrance of the fire ferrets room "uh huh yeah sure" Anima said opening the door.

The two entered and saw a defeated look on the two boys faces "we didn't miss the match, did we? You both look like you already lost" Korra said

"we might as well have" Bokin said

"Hasook's a no good no show" Mako said and the door opened for someone to tell then they had two minutes to play or they were disqualified "well there goes our shot in the tournament and the winnings" Mako said looking at the floor "can't you ask one of the three people over there?" Anima asked and Bolin told them you could only compete in one team.

Anima got an idea that might help Korra get a little freedom that she wanted "well how about Kory, she's a top notch water bender" Anima smiled but Bolin looked up "but she's the Avatar isn't that cheating " Bolin said and Anima crossed her arms "won't be cheating if she only uses water bending" Anima said but Mako still disagreed.

"no way, I'd rather forfeit than look like a fool out there" Korra glared at him "wow thanks for the vote of confidence"

"times up you in or out?" the referee asked coming in through the door "they're in" Anima said "we are?" Mako asked Bolin cheered as Korra got the uniform on "you can thank us later" Korra said.

"this girl is crazy" Mako said and Anima smiled "yeah but she's my type of crazy" Mako looked at Anima weirdly before going out on the stage.

Korra wasn't the best in the first round, she used earth bending but was aloud to stay in if she only used water bending, she was having trouble dodging the attacks but after she got knocked out, it seems like she can be the leaf in the wind as she dodged all the attacks until the opponents where exhausted and she knocked them out earning a victory.

Anima saw from were she was standing that Korra and Mako were really close, he then placed his hand on Korra's shoulder, Anima's eyes widened as she crushed the metal barrier she was holding onto out of jealousy, leaving to big dents along the railing.

"huh, Gran Gran was right" Anima said looking at the damage she did out of jealously, she then looked back at Korra and Mako seeing they were in the same position, she sighed and left the arena going back to Air Temple Island.

She went to bed without changing from her training gear and stayed up most of the night before going to sleep.
