"let's see multiple accounts of damage to private and city property, not to mention evading arrest" Chief Beifong then slammed her clip bored down next to Korra, who had been arrested just as Anima suspected.

"your in a whole mess of trouble, young lady, especially you Anima" Lin said glaring at the purple eyed girl.

"but there were some thugs threatening a helpless shopkeeper and I- can it" Korra got cut off by Lin as the chief sat down opposite the two "you should of called the police and stayed out of the way"

"look, she couldn't sit by and neither could I, one because she's the Avatar and two the police suck" Anima said earning a angry glare from her mother "oh don't you worry Anima, I'm well aware of who she is, and her title might impress some but not me" Lin said as she crossed her arms.

"alright fine, I want to talk to whoever is in charge" Korra said and Anima laughed a little knowing what was coming "sweet cheeks, your talking to her, allow me to introduce my estranged mother Lin Beifong" Anima said with jazz hands that just irritated Lin.

"wait Beifong, your related to Toph" Korra said happily but Anima and Lin kept a straight face "what of it?" Lin asked.

"well, then why are you treating me like a criminal? Avatar Aang and your mothers were friends, they saved the world together" Korra said but it didn't sway Lin in the slightest "Korra, she doesn't give a damn about that, she doesn't even see Avatar Cara as her mother" Anima said with venom in he voice.

The way Anima said it made Lin feel terrible on the inside but she kept a stoic face "that's ancient history and its got diddly squat to do with the mess you both are in right now" The door to the interrogation room opened and an officer what standing there " chief councilman Tenzin is here" Lin sighed "let him in"

Tenzin walked in and looked very angry at Korra and Anima "hi Tez, whats up?" Anima asked like nothing has happened, he took a deep inhale of breath and smiled towards Lin "Lin, you are looking radiant as usual"

"cut the garbage, Tenzin why is the Avatar in Republic city? I thought you were supposed to be moving down to the south Pole to train her, so she doesn't see Anima so soon" Korra was a little confused by what Lin ment, was she ment to meet Anima?

"my relocation has been delayed, the Avatar on the other hand, will be heading back to the South Pole immediately where she will stay put" Tezin said and Korra tied to say something but Tenzin stopped her "if you will be so kind to drop the charges against Korra and Anima, I will take full responsibility for today's regrettable events and cover all the damages" Tenzin said.

Lin sighed but agreed "get her out of my city, but Anima stays with me" Anima eyes widened as Korra and Tenzin left, leaving only Anima and her mother.

"Anima what was you thinking-" Lin began but Anima cut her off "great, you only act like a mother when I need telling off" Anima said and Lin crossed her arms "yes but that's because my mother can't tell you off she'll just let you off" Lin said and Anima scoffed "so now you say she's your mother, but at least she supports me and helps with training, all you do is leave me in the dark because you care more about your job then your own daughter" Lin knew that Anima was right, she had being so caught up in her job, that she didn't make any time for her daughter.

Anima's anger got the better of her as she slammed her hands on the table "why are you a terrible mother" Anima said and immediately regretted her last words, Lin looked down in defeat and sighed, small tears falling from her eyes, Anima got up from her chair and went closer to her mother but Lin backed away "leave" is all the she said.

Anima sighed and went towards the door but stopped "I'm sorry" and then left heading back to air temple Island, as Anima entered the kitchen she was greeted by her grand mother "Ani, I'm so glad you met the Avatar today, was she all you hoped for, are you dating yet?" all the questions from Cara made Anima laugh a little but her sad face returned.

"I don't think she even knows we're ment to be" Anima said and sighed "I'm gonna go train"

"Anima wait" Cara said and sat the purple eyed girl down next to her "what else happened?" Cara asked and Anima let a tear fall down her cheek "me and Korra got taken to police headquarters after taking down these triple threats, my mom talked to us and I let my anger get the better of me and-and I called her a terrible m-mother" Anima slightly cried out as she hugged her grandmother.

Cara sighed "we all say and do things in anger, when Toph was angry one time, she thew me aside so she could shout at Kat, it hurt me but I forgave her, and Lin will forgive you" Anima looked at Cara with blood shot eyes "really?" she asked and Cara nodded "it may take some time because she's as stubborn as Toph but eventually she'll forgive you"

Cara kissed the top of Anima's head before she got up "you can go train now, I'm off to bed, old age doesn't agree me with me" Cara laughed as she went to her room.

Anima went to her room and changed into some green training gear and was practicing her spirit bending for hours, she only stopped when she was sweating and out of breath but by that time it was dark and she decided to go to bed, she did have trouble sleeping, the feeling of guilt kept building up inside her, she couldn't take the words back, and Anima hated herself for it.
