A surprising morning

Well, it's time for one shot without drama, tears and tragedy. Love, happiness and nothing else, pups are humans in this story (well, anthro, if you don't understand). Enjoy!

It was a chilly morning in suburban of New York. In medium-sized two-floor house, two pups were having some good sleep. Well, as it seemed, because one of them was a police officer and always woke up very early to go for job. Second pup was a pilot, but her job schedule was more ellastic, so she could have some good rest. These two pups were Chase and Skye, who started living there after giving an opportunity to new generation, because they have grown up from that. They were dating for 4 years and got married 7 months ago, and if you think that their life was perfect, you're somewhere right: sometimes they couldn't spend their time with each other, because of Chases' early wake ups for work, which lead to some stress for him at the end of the day. Thankfully, at some point, Chase realized that it's quite too much for him and requested a little rest at least for 5 days and todays' morning was about to give him a response for that.

The clock was showing 7:54 a.m as Chase opened his eyes to look the time on his phone. Skye at this moment was snuggled into him, so Chase laid on other side carefully as her arms were still wrapped around his torso. Still, Chase managed to take his phone and notice that new message came from his chief. He opened it and read the text.

"Well, I reviewed all your job for past 3 months and what can I say? 5 days or even a week is not enough. If you're still sleeping, keep doing it. From now, 2 and a half weeks of good rest. Have a good day and take care of your wife"

Chase turned off his phone and turned back to face Skye and kissed her forehead, which caused her to snuggle into him more and rub her nose against his abs. Then he got an incredible idea and unwrapped himself carefully from Skyes' hands. 

Chase (whispers): Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere.

He got up from bed, put on his home slippers and went to kitchen to make some breakfast. Chasr heard many times about romantic event named "breakfast in bed" and because of small amount of days off, he hadn't any time for it. He decided to make for themselfes a trully sweet breakfast: good amount of pankakes for himself and tiramisu for Skye. She always wanted to have this delicious desert in the morning and Chase actually saw the recipe of it. 4 minutes later a sound of working mixer could br heard. Meanwhile, Skye who became all alone in bed again, tried to realize the meaning of Chases' words, that he wasn't going anywhere, maybe it was a hint, that he'll stay home, for what Skye exactly hoped. Chase was already covered in flour and dough as he was standing at owen and flipping his pancakes. Before this action, he easily prepared a tiramisu for Skye and prepared a tray with two cups of coffee and two heartshapes. It took 9 minutes to cook all his pancakes and put them on plate, which he put on tray as well. The clock was showing 8:18 a.m already. Skye started hoping more that Chase will finally stay at home for longer, until she heard door's opening and Chase came in still quite covered in flour with tray of pancakes and tiramisu on, which made her gasp.

Chase: Breakfast is here my lady (giggles).

Skye: Ohh honey, this is actually beautiful.

Chase (takes a spoon): Come and try this one of beauty.

Skye took spoon and gave herself a taste of tiramisu and immideately murred from pleasure, this was delicious.

Skye: Mmmmm, the best tiramisu I've ever tasted.

Chase: Just don't rush ok dear?

Skye: Oh, by the way, why did you do it? (raises an eyebrow)

Before answering, Chase put a tray on bed and laid near Skye again, kissing her cheek.

Chase: Well, chief gave a good two week off.

Skye: Goosh, it's just great! So then...

Skye then took tray, put it on table and laid on top of Chase.

Skye: Let's have a little warm-up before it (winks).

Chase: Hehe, such a hot and sweet girl.

Skye pressed her lips against Chases' and a long make out seesion has started: their tongues were doing a crazy tango, their hands were exploring every milimeter of each others bodies, their bodies were rubbing against each other softly, making the couple giggle at each other. However, something bothered Chase, so he stopped making out.

Chase: Need a shower after working on kitchen.

Skye: I'm with you (smiles).

10 minutes later

Skye and Chase were finally having a breakfast after good shower, Skyes' head was on Chases' chest as she didn't want to finish with tiramisu quickly and so did Chase with his pancakes, who wrapped his hand around Skyes' shoulder.

Chase: Such a surprising morning isn't it?

Skye: Yup. In all meanings. 2,5 weeks, just you and me.

Chase: For sure my dear, I love you.

Skye: Love you too honey.
