A tough cookie 2

It's been 2 months since restaurant fire in Adventure City, Paw Patrol moved back to Adventure Bay. But there was one thing, which made this mission much different than previous ones. Chase, who felt comfortable when Skye was near him, started feeling differently towards her, which was unspottable before. He started feeling like he should be with her for rest of his life, but just couldn't accept it. Every time when Marshall or Zuma mentioned their connection, Chase hid it by his seriousness. Unfortunately for him, it didn't last for long.

Zuma: Aw come on buddy! You're strong enough to go inside burning building and save a baby, but so tough in confessing your feelings to someone?

Chase: Well, maybe, but we must focus on work.

Marshall: Chase, stop being a tough cookie. Ryder allowed us to find second half for ourselfes, so we're good with that.

Chase: Jeez... I guess you're right. But, I've never felt differently towards Skye, I mean, I didn't react like this before.

Zuma: Even when she comforted you at train rescue?

Chase: Yes!

Zuma: Oh, ok then.

Marshall: Still, we think that Skye cares about you not only because you're her teammate, honestly.

While the trio was chatting in Lookout, Skye was sitting in her puphouse, being in thoughts about same thing. Since that mission when she came up to make Chase feel more comfortable, she also started feeling in other way towards German Shepherd. Surely, Skye comforted him not once, but when they were doing missions in Adventure Bay, he also comforted her. She tried to throw these thoughts away because Chase was her teammate and nothing else, but no success. Then Skye exited her puphouse to clear her mind and at same time, Chase Marshall and Zuma walked from Lookout. After noticing German Shepherd, Skye decided to change her plans and walked towards pups.

Skye: Hey guys!

Zuma: Oh hey dudette!

Chase: Hey.

Skye (quite nervous): Chase, can we... talk, just you and me?

Chase: Oh, ehh, alright.

Then Chase and Skye walked away from other pups and sat under tree. Both pups were so nervous to talk about it that there was a little silence, until Chase decided to break it.

Chase: Sooo, what do you want to talk about?

Skye: It's about me and you, Chase.

Chase: Yeah?

Skye: Yeah... I really can't explain this, but it pursuits me since this mission with restaurant.

Chase: Oh, go on. Maybe I can help you with that.

Skye: No, it's not about what you think. I can't throw away that night when I stayed with you.

Chase: You know... me neither.

Skye: And after that you started to act otherwise when I'm with you.

Chase: Skye... ummm, I think... I started feeling differently towards you, and it's so hard to accept it.

Skye: Feeling different? *gasp* You mean, you... like me? Like... more than just a friend, right?

Now Chase felt like he was pinned to the wall and there was no escape. Little did he knew, Skye started suspecting him on that because of his behavior. So she decided to solve this question here and now. However, Chase still couldn't answer.

Skye: Chase... please, it's not the good moment to act like a tough cookie.

Chase: Alright alright. I... l-l-l-like you.

Skye: I knew it.

Chase: Ok, so what now?

Instead of answering, Skye stood very close to Chase and pressed her foreheard against his while her eyes were closed, he eventually responded, pressing his forehead against hers and putting his paw over hers.

Skye: You act not so tough when I near you, and I like it.

Chase: Heh, thanks.

Skye: I really was confused with these feelings, but I'm glad that we managed to sort this out.

Chase: Jeez, I couldn't sleep normally, was thinking about you very often.

Skye giggled in response and put her nose against Chases' as two pups started rubbing them against each other. Their new feelings made them feel scared a bit, about how their friendship will go, but now, they couldn't act tough anymore and feel soft to each other like a sweet cookie. The end!
