Not worthy

Chase and Skye were on terrace of the villa, which belonged to Skyes' parents. Our couple was dating for a long time and when Paw Patrol faced the change of generations, they wanted to get married as soon as possible. More though, during their work with Ryder, they found their parents and if Chases' parents almost momentally agreed with engagement, Skyes' ones should have been the hardest challenge - well, that the German Shepherd was thinking when he and his bride have arrived.

Chase: Wow, that's really impressive that you managed to achieve all of this.

Mr.Skye: Thank you, it was a long way for ending up like this, but now, when we found our daughter, we just want to use our resources to make her happy.

Mrs.Skye: As we can see, Skye feels so happy around you. She told us everything about your extra-caring moments with her.

Chase: Heh, it was my own way to develop my feelings to her. She was really pretty.

Skye: Was?

Chase: Was, still is and will be.

Skye: Oh *kisses his cheek*, thanks Chasey.

Mr.Skye: Still... we can't say yes or no about your wedding for now. It feels like your groom is hiding something from us, and he's too scared to tell it.

Chase: Can you ehhh, give me some time? I actually know what exactly I'm hiding from you... if this is exactly what I'm thinking about. 

Mr.Skye: You have 5 minutes, as my charming wife will prepare lunch. It's 3:30 p.m already.

Mrs.Skye: Oh yeah! We talked that a lot... time flies you know. *laughs*

Chase nodded in understanding and walked to the edge of terrace, then he sat down and hung his head with heavy sigh. Skye immideately realized that her boyfriend wasn't acting truthfully in front of her parents, but what did cause such behavior from him.

Skye: You weren't yourself during last few minutes here.

Chase: Skye... I'm not worthy to be your husband.

Skye: What?!

Chase: You can tell me wrong - but when I saw how do your parents live, I was afraid that you might get affected because of it.

Skye: Wait, do you think I'll have a wish of luxury life or what?

Chase: Errr... yes. Honestly, I can't afford it now. They know that I'm a famous police pup, but I'm not a pup from show-business. I don't want to dramatize a lot, but I can feel their disguise towards me.

The Cockapoo sat down beside her groom, being speechless for a while, it was quite hard for her at first what did he mean, but she put everything together, she looked at the German Shepherd again and hugged him tightly.

Skye: Just to let you know. I'll be with you forever even if we won't get married - that's it. We promised each other that we will never leave each other!

Chase: Thanks a lot Skye. I was really afraid to lose you at this point.

Skye: Heheh, silly Chasey. I already realized that big house and nice things won't make me happy... maybe a little it. But people who love and support me - that's what makes me happy. And you always make me feel happy, even despite not being rich as my parents.

Chase then hugged his bride back and kissed her forehead, then they stayed like this for few more seconds, before braking the hug and looking at each other.

Skye: Ready?

Chase: Yep. Let's go.

Soon, Chase and Skye were at the kitchen where lunch was ready and Skyes' parents were also here. Skyes' father immideately went to the couple as his daughter stopped and let her boyfriend to speak with him face-to-face.

Mr.Skye: So, what's the reason you weren't speaking to me... that confident as I wanted?

Chase: I was afraid that because of your richness you'll count me a worthless husband to your daughter. I'm not from show-business industry as you hoped... and I'll understand if you won't let me marry Skye. But I'll always be there for her no matter what! And nothing won't stop me to be with her.

When the German Shepherd finished his speech, he imagined huge frustration from Skyes' father and a wave of hate towards him - but instead, he heard giggles as it was Mr.Skye, who was giggling.

Mr.Skye: Well... I feel that you're not joking about your status as I thought differently before. But you now can't worry about what you said. We're a rich family, but without arrogant character. Your character towards my daughter, which makes her happy - that's the richest thing I need. 

Chase: Really?

Mr.Skye: 100%. Yes, we were arrogant before, but now we have experience for this case. So if you to take Skyes' paw in marriage, you have our permission.

Chases' wide smile appeared on his face as he nodded and moved his paw to shake it with Cockapoos' and Skyes' father cheerfully shook it.

Mr.Skye: Just don't give too much limits alright??

Chase: Never ever!!

It caused all four pups to laugh as the German Shepherd turned towards Skye and twirled her around in happiness before they had a celebrating lunch. The end!
