Codename: Ghost - An Arknights OC Fanfiction.

Why?

"Did you say something?" Echo asks, her little mumble catching his ear,

"Oh, no, nothing." Nonchalantly, she replied back to him, fanning her hand in the air dismissing him.

"Anyways, what I'm trying to say is......I'd love....for him to make more friends, so..."

"Don't worry about it! We'll be his friends, right, Texas?" Exusiai suddenly cuts Echo, saying in a cheerful voice as she always did as she poked Texas with her elbow jokingly, 

"Don't drag me into this"

"Aw, you're no fun!" She said, before pestering her with more jokes,

As the two kept themselves busy with each other, a small smile formed on Echo's face, a smile of delight as he looked at the noisy pair. 

A knocking from the window could suddenly be heard, catching the attention of the people inside the car. It turned out just to be Ghost, as he pointed to the lock of the door, gesturing them to let him in. Echo then leaned towards the door and unlocked it for him, letting him enter with plastic bag in his hand. Within it were four ice cream bars, one for each members in the car

"Hey, you're back!" Exusiai stops her pestering to Texas, before turning towards him and greeting him,

"Yeah. Here, ice creams." He replies to her as he took his place in the car, his hand holding out the plastic bag of ice creams to them, offering them to take one.

"Don't mind if I do~" Exusiai takes one ice cream bar with a happy glee, but Texas passes on it as she held up her palm to him, refusing his offer.

 As they were eating away, a car suddenly sped through the main road in front of the alley in which their car was parked.

"That was the target, wasn't it?" Echo noticed the car, and nonchalantly asked his captain as he took another lick of his own ice cream, somehow eating it underneath his mask.
"Yeah, it was- What?! Chase it!" Ghost jumped little out of surprise, sadly dropping his ice cream on the floor before he aggressively shook Texas' shoulder, rushing her to go after it,

"Right, right. Things are going to get a little bumpy, hang on tight." as Texas said that, she stepped on the pedal, roaring the car's engine, and in a split second, they were already moving at a velocity way over the speed limit, dangerously swerving past the other cars on the road as they chased their target,

"Hey, is this really safe?!" A freaked out Echo expresses his concern at at how fast speed they were going, his hands clutching the vehicle's safety handle for dear life, hoping his body won't just fall out and fly away from inertia thanks to the car's rapid and fast swerves

"She can at least drive better than me, so I guess we're kinda safe." Exusiai casually replies to him, herself looking way more lax compared to himself and the driver looking extremely calm and collected, which both didn't really reassure him in the least.

In their pursuit, their vehicle were all of a sudden rammed from behind by another vehicle, causing Texas to lose a bit of control over the car, but she immediately regained grip and stabilized the car. It appeared that they had more company than they initially thought.

"Pricks." Texas muttered with grit, as her eyes looked into the rearview mirror. A pair of headlights shone bright, tailing them very closely and following their every move.

"Hey, do something, would'ya?" She then added to herself without directing it to any specific person in the vehicle. Exusiai and Echo merely looked at each other, both with a more than puzzled faces not knowing what to exactly do in a high speed  chase situation like this.
