Hours passed and Daichi was still asleep on Akane's shoulder. The sun already set and it was dark inside the house. Akane couldn't turn on the light because she didn't want to move Daichi's head. She was afraid that it would wake him up. Daichi started to wake up and he was rubbing his eyes, half asleep. He realised that he fell asleep on Akane's shoulder and immediately panicked.
" Morning sleepyhead." She said.
His face became extremely red like a cherry. He became flustered and looked at Akane. Akane looked back at him, smiling.
" I'm sorry! I didn't mean to sleep on your shoulder.. And you had to feed me too." He muttered.
Her eyes widen, " Nono it's okay! I didn't mind at all." She reassured him.
He chuckled nervously and let out a yawn. Akane stood up and took the two bowls of ramen and walked to the kitchen. He watched as she walked.
" I'm going out to buy groceries." She told him breaking the silence.
" It's late already, ill accompany you." He suggested. She nodded and smile.
They quickly got their stuff. Daichi turned off the TV and they walked out. Akane was still in her sweats and shirt. Chills went down her spine making her jump a little. The night became colder as they walked to the store. He looked at her and laughed before taking off his jacket and placing it on her. She looked up at him with her red cheeks and smiled. He smiled back. He placed his hand on her arm and pulled her closer to him. She said nothing and continued to walk.
" What do you want for dinner? "
" Hm.. Anything you cook, I'll eat." He said.
" Haha, alright than." She chuckled.
Soon enough, they reached the store. They both went and started to find ingredients. After a while, they got everything they need and went to pay for it. They picked up the bags and left the store.
" Daichi, what time are you going home later? "
" Not sure, why? "
" N-nothing.. Its just that it's going to be late after dinner. You could just stay over." Akane suggested, looking away from him. She wanted to hide her red face.
" Hm, that's a good idea. I'll stay for the night then! " He beamed with joy.
They got home and placed the bags in the kitchen. Akane rolled up her sleeves and started to prepare the ingredients.
" Akane, what are you cooking? " Daichi questioned.
" Since its a cold night, I decided to make miso soup. " She smiled.
His eyes lit up and watched as she cooked. She chopped some onions and potatoes. Daichi watched her carefully, not speaking a word to her. He laid his head on his hands and his eyes followed her wherever she went and whatever she did. Somehow everything she does, it always impresses him. Even little things, like tossing a volleyball.
A while passed and Akane finally finished making the miso soup. She went to the table and placed two bowls with soup on the mat, she then placed chopsticks on the side. Daichi walked towards her and helped her carry the deserts, chocolate taiyaki.
