Part 14

They walked together, swinging their arms back and forth. Suddenly a bicycle came from the corner and was moving really close to Akane. She wasn't paying attention to what's in front of her. Daichi quickly pulled her close to him, the man on the bicycle apologised and cycled away.

" Thank you, Daichi. " Akane thanked, shocked.

Daichi let out a sigh of relief. He nodded and they continued walking. They walked towards the bus station, Daichi saw the bus they needed to take, he looked at Akane and Akane looked back at him. They nodded and they started to run towards it. They were able to catch up to the bus. They went in and tried to find a place to sit. When they found one, Daichi allowed Akane to take the window seat. She sat down and Daichi sat beside her. The bus started to move. Akane laid her head on his shoulder, he looked down at her and smiled. He kissed her on the head. After a while, they finally reached. They went out of the bus and started walking again.

" Daichi, you didn't tell me where we were going." Akane pointed out.

" Well, I wanted to keep it a secret." He answered her.

She nodded in confusion. Not too long after, they finally reached. Daichi had brought her to a cat cafe. Akane got really excited. He held out his hand again and Akane placed her hand in his. They walked in. They were greeted by a employee. She showed Daichi and Akane around, cats were walking everywhere. There were many cute kittens there as well. They sat down at the corner as cats started to surround them. They ordered their drinks and played with the cats while they waited. Suddenly a black cat jumped on Daichi's lap. Daichi got a little surprise and laughed. He started patting the cat and it started to purr. Akane admired Daichi when all of a sudden a small kitten walked towards her. It was white with brown spots. It got on Akane's lap and made itself comfortable. Akane was mesmerised by the cat, she patted it as it closes its eyes.

" Looks like you found my favourite cat." A familiar voice said.

Daichi and Akane look up, to their surprise they saw Kuroo. Beside him was Kenma, who was playing his games.

" Kuroo?! " Daichi said, a little shocked.

" Not surprised to see you here, this is where you live after all. Neko. " Akane teased.

" Of course its not a surprise to see me here, what about you two? On a date? Who would've thought Karasuno's captain and Ryu High's captain had a thing. " Kuroo smirked.

Akane and Daichi both laughed, " How'd you know? Was it that obvious? "

" You two are matching and you're here. Just the two of you." He answered confidently.

Kenma looked up at Kuroo and shook his head before continuing his game. Akane chuckled.

" Kuroo, let's go. Let them have a good date." Kenma mumbled.

Kuroo laughed, " Fine fine. Take care of my favourite kitten, Akane-chan."

They walked away, soon enough the employee came with Daichi and Akane's drink. Akane and Daichi thanked the employee. They continued to play with the cats and they decided to take pictures. A while passed and they decided to leave. Akane was sad to leave the kittens. Daichi laughed and told her that they can come back another time. They thanked the employee and walked out. They didn't see Kuroo, so they assumed he already went back home. Daichi and Akane walked out. Akane was scrolling through all the pictures she took. When she saw a photo of Daichi holding a black cat that has it's eyes closed and Daichi's eyes were closed too.

" Awwh how adorable! " She said aloud to herself.

Daichi heard her and he looked over her shoulder and saw the picture. His face turned red. Suddenly he felt Akane holding his hand. They continued to walk together as they watch the sun go down. The sunset was really beautiful.

" Akane." Daichi said.

" Hm? What is it? "

" Do you want to go get pork Buns? " Daichi asked.

Akane laughed, " Of course, how could I turn down your invitation."

He laughed. Holding her hand tighter. She walked closer to him. Her aroma made Daichi's heart beat faster, his cheek started to heat up. Soon enough they reach the bus station. The sun had already set and the street lights turned on. They sat down and waited for the bus. Akane started to swing her legs back and forth. Daichi looked up at the sky and admired it. The moon was bright that night and they were barely any clouds. He put his hands behind him as his support. Suddenly he felt Akane place her hand on his. She pulled his hand and they stood up. Daichi noticed that bus was arriving, he chuckled. They got into the bus and greeted the driver. The bus was quiet and almost empty, there was 3 more people inside. They sat at the back. Akane put her arm under his and laid on his shoulder. Daichi smiled and pat her head. They interlock fingers and watched the scenery as the bus moved.

" I'm glad I got to spend the day with Akane." Daichi smiled to himself.

He kissed her head.

" Daichi, could I ask you something? " Akane asked.

" Sure, what is it? " Daichi questioned.

" Does Suga know? "

" No, he doesn't. I'm not sure how tell him. All I know it's that he's going to tease the heck out of me." He laughed, answering her.

Akane laughed with Daichi. After a while, they finally reached. They pressed the button and waited for the bus to reach the next stop. They got off and held hands as they walked together to the Sakanoshita Market.

" Akane-senpai? " Someone called out.

Akane and Daichi turned behind. They saw Akane's junior, Haruka. Haruka greeted them.

" Haru, what are you doing here at this time?"

" I was on a late night run." Haruka said, he looked down and saw Daichi and Akane holding hands.

" I see, you're on a date. Well sorry to disturb you then." Haruka said, quickly running off.

Akane tilted her head in confusion. Daichi was confused too. They just laughed it off and continued walking. Soon, they reached the market and Daichi went to buy some pork buns. He took one out and fed it to Akane. He took the other one and took a bite.

" Daichi, thank you for today." She thanked Daichi while she stuffed her mouth.

He nodded, " Your welcome. I had a good time as well."

They decided to head home, after they were done.
