Part 2

" Daichi, are you sure about the 3 versus 3 thing? "

" Well of course. Their gonna be on the same team. They need to learn to work together. Anyways suga, where are they? "

" Should be here soon, I hope. "

The gymnasium door open, Hinata Shoyo and Kageyama Tobio walks in. They greeted the seniors and got ready for the 3 versus 3. ( Reference from the actual anime but some scenes will be different to fit the story )

" Oh look its the troublemakers. " Tsukishima said chuckling and looking over at them.

" TSUKI. YOU LITTLE- " Tanaka said but got cut of by the gym door opening.

3 girls walks in. Daichi, Sugawara, Kiyoko and Tanaka seemed to be happy and surprised. They were wearing maroon jackets, that had ' Ryu High ' written at the back. They looked intimidating somehow.

" SENPAI! YOU'RE HERE! " Tanaka screamed running up towards them.

They smiled at Tanaka. Hinata, Kageyama, Tsukishima and Yamaguchi were confused as to why the they were here, they're not from karasuno yet they're still at the gymnasium.

" Gather!" Daichi called out.

Everyone gathered in front of the 3 girls, Hinata took a good look at them. He was surprised there was someone who was around the same height or shorter than him.

" 1st years, you do not know them but they will be watching today's match, so do well and impress them! " Daichi announced while looking at them.

" Ohayo! I'm Suzuki Luna! I am a vice-captain and a libero for Ryu High school. Do well today everyone. " Luna introduced herself.

" I'm Nirishita Karin. I'm a setter and I'm the manager. " Karin introduced herself.

" Ohayo, I'm Hayate Akane. I'm the captain for Ryu High Girls' Volleyball team. I'm an ace. Goodluck for today's match! " Akane said.

Hinata's eyes lit up when he heard that Akane was an ace. He's always wanted to become an ace.

" Alright! Go and warm up! " Daichi instructed.

Daichi walked up towards Akane, Luna and Karin leaving them to talk. Sugawara and Tanaka helped with warm ups and Kiyoko went to fill up their water bottles.

" Akane, thanks for making a grand entrance as always. I'm glad you're here." Daichi stated.

Akane let out a small laugh and stared at him. He does the same. Memories of their first conversation starting playing in their head making them laugh together. Sugawara looked over, ever since the first practice match with Ryu high, Daichi and Akane hanged out from time to time and can always be found talking to each other during practice matches. Sugawara wasn't surprised to see the two of them laughing like that.

" Daichi! The match is starting!" Sugawara called out to him.

" Goodluck Daichi. Let's see how well you work with the new 1st years." Akane teased him.

" If I win, you'll have to eat lunch with me." Daichi added.

" Fine, but you'll pay. Do your best! " Akane responded.

Daichi ran over to the court and Akane joined up with Luna and Karin. The practice match started.

- after the 3v3 -

" Dang Daichi, you took the ' L' on this one captain. " Luna said jokingly.

Daichi looked a little sad because he didn't win and is not able to eat lunch with Akane but he laughed at Luna's joke anyway. Akane came up behind him and patted his back. He saw her smile from the corner of his eye.

" Luna, you want to do a quick game? " Karin asked.

Luna nodded and ran towards her, leaving Akane and Daichi alone.

" Good game Captain, too bad you lost though. " Akane teased him again.

" Yea Well.. That's kinda sad no? I can't have lunch with you then. " He pouted.

" I didn't say you can't have lunch with me even though you lost. I'm free tomorrow anyways and I'm not going to turn down free food from my dear Sawamura-San." Akane winked.

Daichi started to turn red, Akane laughed and left him with his thoughts. She decided to join Luna and Karin who was walking towards Tanaka and Sugawara with a volleyball.

" Suga! Can we play 3v3? When you guys played earlier it seemed quite fun, and we haven't played against each other for a while." Luna suggested as she saw Akane walking towards them in the corner of her eye.

Suga nodded. Luna and Karin waited for Akane and told her that they were playing a match. Luna, Karin and Akane took off their jackets to reveal their volleyball jersey. With number 1 for Akane, number 2 for Luna and 3 for Karin. The 3 of them got to the court with Daichi, Sugawara and Tanaka on the other side of the net in position. They started playing, Tanaka was doing the first serve. Luna received it with no problem at all and passed it to Karin. She then set it to Akane, she spikes it over the net. Daichi tries to receive but failed, giving them the first point. Hinata, who was watching the match, suddenly got excited. He was mesmerised by the way Akane spiked the ball. She was indeed an incredible Ace.

After a while of playing, they called it a day. Karasuno welcomed Hinata and Kageyama to the team. They cleaned up and went home for the night. Daichi and Akane walked home together. They were both admiring the stary sky. Suddenly he heard Akane chuckling. He looked at her and asked what happen.

" Its nothing, I just remembered when we bumped into each other right here. We didn't expect that we'd live so close. " Akane replied, stopping at that spot.

Daichi, who was ahead of her, walked towards her. He was tall compared to Akane, she was only 165 cm and he was 176.8 cm. He stared down at her, into her dark and sparkly eyes. She did the same and stared in his eyes. It was quiet.

" Yea.. I remember that. " Daichi slowly replied.

Akane grabbed his hand and brought him to a nearby vending machine. She took out her wallet and bought 2 sodas. She gave one to Daichi. Even though Daichi and Akane are close, they don't talk a lot . All they do is stare into each other's eyes and laugh about it after. They both drank the soda and walked home. They started to talk about all the good times they had when they were 1st year. Who would've thought that they ended up becoming really close. Daichi and Akane stopped in front of Akane's house.

" Thanks for walking me home again, Sawamura-San. See you tomorrow for our date haha." Akane chuckled.

Everytime Akane calls him Sawamura-San, he gets a little red and starts becoming flustered.

" Y-yea. I'll pick you up tomorrow. Goodnight, Akane-chan." Daichi replied.

" D-did he call me Akane-chan.. idiot. " Akane thought to herself. She became flustered upon hearing him call her that.

She replied goodnight and walked in her house, Daichi left and went back, he was  looking foward to their date the next day.
