Daichi opened his room door and walked in, closing it. His mother was watching him, she noticed that Daichi wasn't acting normal. She knocked on the door.
Daichi opened the door, " Do you need help with something, mom? "
" Dear, are you alright? You looked bothered." His mother asked.
Daichi nodded and apologised. He just said he was really exhausted from practice and gave a smile before closing the door. He sighed and gritted his teeth in frustration. Fuji's words kept on replaying in his head over and over. His phone kept on vibrating but he didn't want to check. He laid down on his bed, thinking. A few hours had passed when suddenly Daichi heard a knock on the house door. He sighed and walked out. His mother was nowhere to be found. He walked to the door and opened it. Akane was standing outside, holding a bag of goodies. She was wearing Daichi's jacket with a smile on her face.
" Hey Darling! " She smiled.
Daichi's heart heated quickly as he glared at her. Akane got chills down her spine when she looked at Daichi's eyes. She knew he was angry but didn't know about what. Daichi closed the door behind him. He was towering over Akane. Akane started to shake.
" D-darling? " Akane called out. Daichi remained silent.
" Did. You. Lie? " He spoke.
" Huh? What do you mean? "
" Did you lie to me about Fuji? " He asked again, trying to keep calm.
Akane's eyebrows started to arch downwards. She raised one of her eyebrow and clenched the bag she was holding.
" What did he tell you. " She mumbled.
" I'm asking the question right now, Akane. "
" I didn't lie about Fuji. Now answer me."
Daichi crossed his arms and leaned against the door. He looked at Akane dead in the eyes and told her what Fuji said. Akane started feeling a mix of emotions. Angry, sad, frustrated. Everything but happy. She dropped the bag that had goodies for Daichi. She turned around so her back is facing Daichi. Her voice started to break and she started to quiver.
" So you're telling me you'd rather believe Fuji over your own girlfriend? " Akane snapped.
Daichi's eyes widened at her words. She shook her head as tears started to roll down her cheeks. She took off Daichi's jacket and put it on top of the bag she dropped earlier. She scoffed slightly before walking away.
" Wait.. I- " Daichi reached out to her but Akane had already walked off and disappeared in the darkness.
Daichi looked down at the bag and picked it up. He bit his lip in frustration. He opened the bag and saw all his favourite snacks and his favourite ramen. Daichi also saw a noted written from Akane.
" I known you're really tired Darling, so why don't we enjoy the snacks together and watch your favourite movie? ". The note ended with a smiley face and her name at the bottom.
He gripped the paper, tightly. He took everything and went back into the house. He saw his mother, walking into the kitchen. They made eye contact and Daichi's mother immediately realised something happened.
" Honey what's wrong? " She asked, rushing over to him. She gave him a hug and pat on the back.
" Mom.. What should I do?.." He asked as his voice started to break.
Daichi and his mother went into the living room and sat down. Daichi told his mom everything. His mother sighed, she stroked his back and told him it would be okay and that they should calm down before talking about it again. Meanwhile with Akane, she was walking back home. Tears filling her eyes. The sound of sniffling left her nose.
" Well well well. Hayate-chan, did you have a bad break up? " Fuji said, appearing from the dark alleyway.
Akane looked up at him and frowned. She crossed her arms and moved a step back from Fuji. A smirk slowly appearing on his face.
" So how was the break up? " He asked, smiling.
" Shut up Hiroshi. Me and Daichi didn't break up. I know what the hell you did and I'm gonna tell you that shit isn't going to work." Akane snapped.
The smile disappeared from his face upon hearing that his plan didn't work. Akane scoffed and walked away. Fuji quickly grabbed her wrist, forcing Akane to stop walking. She looked at him in the corner of her eyes.
" What now?! " Akane asked.
" I'm not going to give up." Fuji said, letting her go. He walked back into the dark alleyway and disappeared from Akane's sight.
Akane shook her head in frustration and walked back home. Her head slowly started to ache the more she walked. She looked around for a place to rest but can't seem to find any. Her eyes started to get blurry.
" Crap.. Is it because I was crying or something else? It felt just like the other time when Daichi was.." Her train of thought was cut off by her hitting a wall.
She shook her head and tried to maintain her balance. She sighed and quickly sat down on the ground, leaning against the wall. She rested her head against the wall. A sudden chill went down her spine as she tucked in her leg closer to her body .
She sighed and just sat in the cold as her head continued to ache. Tears welling up in her eyes.
" Why are you sitting there? " Someone asked with a serious tone.
From the corner of her eye, she saw someone's leg beside her. She looked up and saw her classmate, Natsu Kokoro. He placed his jacket over her and sat down beside her.
" N-natsu? Why are you here? " Akane asked, confused.
" I should be asking you." He said.
Akane sighed and told him what happened. Natsu had no expression on his face but he felt bad for Akane.
" Fuji is an asshole. The moment he stepped in our class I already didn't like him. " Natsu said.
Something about what Natsu said made Akane chuckle. Natsu started making jokes about Fuji, trying his best to make Akane laugh. A smile appeared on Natsu's face as he watched her laugh.
" AH! You smiled!! " Akane yelled, smiling.
" W-what!? No. You're dreaming or something." He denied, trying to hide his pink face.
" I have never once seen you smile, Natsu." Akane teased.
Natsu let out a short chuckle as they they spent a couple of hours talking and looking up at the sky, admiring the clouds.
" You should go home Akane. It's getting too late. " Natsu suggested, standing up.
Akane nodded and stood up as well. She thanked Natsu for cheering her up. She folded Natsu's jacket and gave it back to him.
" You're boyfriend cares for you. It's not that he doesn't believe you, he's just in a dilemma. I would be like him if I was in his shoes." Natsu said, ending their conversation off.
A smile appeared on Akane's face. She nodded slightly before walking away. Natsu watched as she slowly disappear into the distance.
