2 weeks later

Things were going good with my pregnancy my baby was keeping me  awake most nights when she began playing around and kicking me.( I wanted the gender to be a surprise bit I was hoping for a girl)I must say there's something so amazing about carrying a life inside of you suddenly  you take on the role of protector you go from being scared of the unexpected to wanting to be supermom. I fell in love with my baby and even with stretchmarks on my belly and my breasts I couldn't care less especially when I felt my angel move.  I was bonding with my belly when Sihle called. I picked  up.
Me: hey you, I smiled.
Sihle: hey babe how are my two girl doing?
Me: we doing fine just bonding with my baby.
Sihle: that sounds fun wish I could join you so babe you never got back to me about when your next appointment is I'd really love to come. I know I've been very  busy these weeks I just hope you haven't gone without me?
Me: umm no it's on thursday.
Sihle: great I'll clear my schedule...
Me: Sihle...  I won't be going with you this time.
Sihle: oh?  Why not babe?  He sounded surprised and disappointed.
Me: ukuthi Menzi already asked me few weeks back and I said yes I was just too scared to tell you.
Sihle : oh OK so why did you say yes to him when I've been there for you since day one while he was busy chasing skirts. His tone changed he sounded angry.
Me: please calm down it's just a one time thing. I wanted to diffuse the situation.
Sihle: when will you open your eyes and stop being so weak Nomzamo that man trampled on your heart, made you go through pregnancy with a broken heart and how do you explain your sudden blood pressure skyrocketing? So he comes over flashes a smile and silly "I'm sorry babe" then BOOM he calls the shots all over again.  AI have some dignity Sisi.  I'm a man I know what I'm talking about now that his little side dish is dead he now wants to be a part of your life and you welcome him just like that.
OK I was hurt I have never heard Sihle speak to me like that and I was offended.
Me: listen Sihle you have no business giving me a lecture Ilona how I should live my life and invade you have forgetting Menzies IS the father of this child and no I'm not WEAK like you say but I will not deny him access to his child just because we have problems and you are feeling insecure about him being around. He kept quiet for a while.
Sihle: I'm so sorry babe you are totally right I just don't want to lose you I just love you guys so much.
Me: Angazi Sihle but something about us feels forced and these little temper tantrums and jumping into conclusions are scaring me I think we need to slow down.
Sihle: why Nomzamo I said I was Sorry nje?
Me: I know ukuthi I just need space to breathe between you and Menzi Im starting to feel suffocated please can I just focus on my pregnancy right now it's crucial if I want it to go smoothly.
Sihle: ngyakuzwa Nomzamo I guess I'll  do as you say but can I still  be a part of you and the baby's life come you for the visits then go our separate ways after?
Me: thank you for understanding me always I'm so lucky to have you and yes you can come to some of them there are not the many left I can't wait to meet my angel.
Sihle: you and me both babe that child is a special gift for a special lady.  I smiled to myself. We said our goodbyes and hung up. What I liked about Sihle  is that he knew when to back off.  I called Menzi to let him know about the appointment, we had been talking during these weeks like old friends it felt like the good old days he would pass by and check on me and leave and no we didn't play mommy and daddy if you catch my drift. He answered and confirmed that he set a reminder we talked some more about general stuff then we said our goodbyes and hung up. I went about my day.

Sihle made his way to Mr Khumalo's office he felt Nomzamo was now slipping from his grip  now that Menzi was back in the picture and his last resort was to get Mr Khumalo in his corner. He knocked on his door then entered.
Mr Khumalo: Madlala, how can I help you I'm actually done for the day I have a doctors appointment.
Sihle: I won't be long Mr Khumalo.  The thing is I think it's time you knew what was going and I Know you haven't pushed Nomzamo because of her delicate situation but I'm just scared this keeping things from you is making her more anxious and that's not good for ingane( the baby)
Mr Khumalo: okay part of what you are saying is true yes I don't want to bombard Nomzamo with too many questions especially now that isimo sakhe sibcayi(her situation is delicate) but I know that there's something going on between the two of you I'm old not stupid mama Wam. He looked down.
Sihle : that's true babe the truth is we are in a relationship and we are very serious to the point that I even accompany her to her check up.  Baba I just want to a husband to Nomzamo and a father to her unborn child.
Mr Khumalo: uthini kimi Madlala? ( what are you saying exactly)
Sihle: nginesfiso sokumshada baba( I have a wish to marry her) and I'm asking your permission. Mr Khumalo thought for a moment.
Mr Khumalo: ngyakuzwa Madlala but uNomzamo ukhulile manje( is a grown woman) only she can agree to a marriage and I think right now she's not ready for that especially after they ended their relationship beno Menzi.
Sihle: that's another thing uMenzi angimthembi( I don't trust him) They didn't just "end" their relationship HE dumped Nomzamo for some bimbo he met God knows where. Mr Khumalo's face changed.
Mr Khumalo: what?!  And why wasn't I told?
Sihle: I guess Nomzamo wasn't ready besides she had the pregnancy to worry about. The Bastard even had the nerve to bring his girlfriend at the hospital when Nomzamo was admitted.  Mr Khumalo slammed his desk.
Mr Khumalo: how dare Menzi do this to my daughter ngimkhonze kangaka?!! Madlala thank you for bringing this to my attention I will deal with it accordingly. I trusted that young man,  well he's just made an enemy out of me. Sihle nodded in agreement.
Sihle : now you see why we have to make sure he stays away from her until she gives birth he is not good for her health and the baby's life depends on it.
Mr Khumalo: yes I see that,  akengibonge Madlala trust me I will deal with Menzi I have to leave now.
Sihle: okay baba oh and can we keep this between us Nomzamo doesn't need to know we had this discussion.
Mr Khumalo: kulungile. Sihle walked out smiling and Mr Khumalo soon followed they parted ways at the reception Sihle went to his office.  When he got there he called his wife. It rang she picked up.
Zinzi: hi love.
Sihle: hi beautiful hows your day going?  Uzizwa njani ( how are you feeling)
Zinzi: like death. She chuckled.
Sihle: please don't joke like that.  Anyway I called to update you ngomnakwenu he laughed.
Zinzi:.been don't joke like that. Don't get distracted your feelings for her are just for show so focus.
Sihle:.I hear you babe I'm sorry bad joke anyway I took it to the next level. I told her dad that I want to marry her and all the bad stuff that Menzi did. And he reacted the way I anticipated him to.  He was livid so basically uMenzi is now on his people he doesn't list. With his connections I know he'll  make sure that Menzi doesn't interfere with our plan.
Zinzi:.that's my man always a step ahead poor Nomzamo doesn't even know what's coming her way gosh I can't wait to be a mommy love phela on the next visit I need you to find out the sex of the baby I want to start buying things for our baby.
Sihle:.OK love. They said their goodbyes and hung up. " my plan is finally coming together without me having to lift a finger now to take care of another problem." he room out his phone and looked for a number.  He  dialled and the person picked up.
Sihle: Sure unjani (howsit)
Person: ngigrand vede zikhiphani(so what's up)
Sihle: nginespani for wena(i have a job for you)
Person: Nomayin nja yam just name it.
Sihle:.I need you to follow a certain Doctor and track her every move I need her to disappear in the next few weeks. I'll send you the details of where she works and office number the rest will be up to you.
Person: ngyakuzwa so should this doctor disappear permanently? That will cost you extra.
Sihle: only if necessary but I just need her out of action for a long while be creative nawe I'll make it worth your while.
Person:consider it done. They hung up. " ya ke Nomzamo nothing can stop me now all I have to do is get you a knew ob-gynae under my payroll  of course. Just a few more weeks you'll be crying and I will finally see happiness return to my Zinzi's eyes how lucky am to have met such a gullible woman like you" he said to himself while he laughed at how greatly things were coming along.
