Menzi found a nice and cosy spot to get some shut but something was making him feel unsettled for some reason he decided to go see if he can distract the nurses and find out which cubicle Nomzamo was in. The nurses werent budging and time was ticking away it was already close to 7 am and Menzi was worried that the psycho would come in at anytime. While he waited for perfect opportunity a white man passed by him wreaking of cigerrate smoke but he was wearing scrubs. Menzi had seen many white men wearing scrubs in that place but something about this one made his blood curl. Anyway both the nurses left their stations so he quickly looked around checking to see if anyone was looking at him then he grabbed the admission book went through it quickly only looking for that unique name Nomzamo Khumalo. He found it after a while and just as he read the cubicle number one of the receptionists came back. Menzi quickly hid himself and went back to his previous position. Now that he knew exactly were Nomzamo was it would be easy.
Nomzamo
I was having bad dreams i just wish this nightmare would be over soon and hopefully my little girl is a fee steps closer to getting out of here. While in those thoughts kwavele kwangena the white stranger wearing hospital attire even hee ngzokengizwe( this id like to hear)
Him: happy to see me? He smiled.
Me: is there a reason i should be?
Him:well you are going home my boss has organised for you and your daughter to come back home accompanied by the best medical team to make sure your daughter stays alright throughout the flight. My face lit up no man i was now sure this man was sent by my dad who else would go through all that trouble to get me home. I wanted to hug him which i did as i hugged him i felt something pinch my neck. I broke the hug and touched my .neck and looked at him.
Me: what did you just do to me?
Him: just some insurance that you dont tell anyone about our little plan. I wanted to talk back but my body felt weak and i couldnt even talk a i did was drool. He wiped the drool and laid me on my back.
Him: dont worry you will regain sensation soon its just to relax your muscles more than normal but youll be awake. My gut was right no one sent by my dad would do this to me. We heard the door knob slowly turn and the white man quickly jumped to the other side of my bed and hid under it. The door opened and i thought amemhlo ami ayangikhohlisa( my eyes were deceiving me) There he was, the love of my life the father of my child my safe keeper, he finally came for me i was filled with joy but great sadness how would i warn Menzi about the danger in this room. He ran to me and hugged me. His smell hadnt changed still so enticing i wanted to wrap my arms around him but i couldnt
Menzi: Zamo sthandwa sam( my love ) i .thought i had lost you for good. He looked at me trying to understand why i wasnt responding i tried to signal him with my eyes to look down.
Menzi: yini babe why cant you talk what going on? He realised my eyes were signaling him something was down there he nodded.
His phone rang. He took it out looked at it and answered.
I heard same thanks for letting me know ill text you details sure.
He hung up.
Menzi: sthandwa sam kunendoda eyingozi ekthiwa kuqashwe yona kuthi ikuthole yomlungu usuke wayibona cwayiza kabili makuth yebo(my love there a dangerous white man hired to find you blink twice if you have seen him) i blinked twice i knew thefe was something shady ngalomuntu ( about this person) and Menzi just confirmed it and i knew why he was speaking in Zulu he is no fool he knew something was up.
Menzi: babe ngaba ulokh uwabhekisa ecelen amehlo ukhona yin lana uyena ukwenze nje?(is the reason why you keep signaling your eyes sideways is he here? Did he do this) i blinked twice again to signal a yes i dont know what happened i saw Menzi wince in pain holding his leg and the white man emerged from under the bed smiling and a gun pointed at Menzi.
Him: so you think because im white i dont speak your language? I didnt become the most sought after hitmen by being dumb i had to learn your languages. I looked at Menzi and i saw him slowly go down drooling i figured umjove ngalento nam angijove ngayo(he injected him with the same thing he injected me with) he came around Menzi's side and spoke to me.
Him: you and i are going on a little ride we'll get the baby later. He went out. Both Menzi and i were helpless he lay on the floor and i lay on the bed and all i did is cry. In no time the man was back he was no longer wearing scrubs rather some white coat written coroner and wore a mask he came in with a stretcher along with some guy i assume was his partner. They both carried me on to the stretcher and put Menzi on my bed and covered him with a sheet and they wheeled me off also covered in a sheet.Narrated
Sihle walked in as usual excited to see Nomzamo he passed by the coroner who was taking a dead body to the morturary the man in the mask uttered some words "dead man walking" and winked at him. Sihle was a bit disturbed by that but decided to brush .it off he had bigger things to worry about than the ramblings of a mad man. He walked confidently past the nurses greeting them and asking how his wife was they said she slept well although she did have a visitor at night. The other nurse cleared her throat signalling her to shut her mouth.
Sihle: oh a visitor you say? Someone i should know about perhaps?
Nurse: um no sir it must have been a case of mistaken identity
Sihle:.oh okay lemme go see her is she awake?
Nurse: she must be asleep because .last time i went in she had covered herself with a sheet i assumed she didnt want to be disturbed but it will be time for her meds soon.
Sihle: ok thanks nurses. Sihle left them and proceeded to Nomzamo room he entered the room smiling.
Sihle: hey sleeping beauty why you hiding that beautiful face, vuka siyobona iMbalenhle yethu(wake up lets go see our beautiful flower) he got no response, he went closer and removed the sheet...🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
