After Sihle was done making a few calls he directed the driver which hospital to drive to in the meantime Dr Sade was trying her best to delay the process as much as possible since it was too risky for Nomzamo to have this baby naturally. They got there and already a medical team was waiting for her. Dr Sade explained everything about Nomzamo's condition to the doctor who'll perform the emergency Caesar as she was being rushed off.
Sihle stayed behind at the reception and sorted out the legalities and administration. Nomzamo was now drifting in and out of consciousness doctors were trying hard to keep her awake but it seemed they would have to put her to sleep her anxiety was causing her blood pressure to rise rapidly.Menzi
The tracker I had on Nonzamo was showing me odd signals with no clear location this was frustrating me I guess George really would be my only chance at finding her. I must have dosed off and was woken up in the middle of the night the windows were wide open and it freezing cold. Then I heard someone sobbing, I tried to look around and my eyes rested on a shadow in the corner. I approached cautiously.
Me: hey, um can I help you? The person was on the floor knees to her chest her arms over her knees and her face over her arms so I couldn't see who it was but it was clear from her cries it was a woman.
Me: please lady talk to me why are you crying? How did you get in here. She lifted her face and I instantly realised it was Rose. I couldn't get close to comfort her it was freezing around besides can you even hug a ghost? She looked so sad.
Me: Rose yini kwenzekeni( what's wrong what happened) she just kept quiet and looked at me this time she looked angry.
Rose : do you know why I saved your life? She looked straight at me I was a bit confused when did she save my life exactly.
Me: um listen Rose I'm not sure I know what you talking about.
Then she changed her face. Fuck! It was Lindelani Ngcobo that trick right there scared the hell out of me but confused me worse. Kwenzakalani ngempela( what's really going on)
Me: Rose you scaring me this supernatural ish is kinda making me uncomfortable.
Rose : Menzi what did I ask of you?
Me: excuse me?
Rose: all I asked was for you to look after Nomzamo and that baby she's carrying did you do that? I looked down ashamed she was right a simple task proved more complicated than I thought.
Me: but how was I to know there would be immediate danger.
Rose : admit it Menzi you slipped up I gave you a chance at life since I couldn't intervene this time I tried giving you clues as to where to start digging for iympendulo(answers) that Lindelani who saved your life that was ME. I thought to myself now Lindelani's hysterical behaviour made sense the last time he visited and him just vanishing into thin air like that.
Me: I see but how can you appear in human form as someone else and not yourself?
Rose: it's against the rules of the spirit world to appear as yourself in human form. Menzi I'm running out of time if Nomzamo's baby doesn't make it alive then I will be banished to an underworld of lost souls please Menzi I beg you hurry up.
Me: I'm trying Rose but this has just gotten more complicated Nomzamo is in more serious danger than I thought but I'm outsourcing people who will help me believe me I will find her if it's the last thislng I do. Can I ask you a favour?
Rose : what is it?
Me: do you know where she is?
Rose: yes
Me: can you tell me?
Rose : I can't I wouldn't be feeling so helpless if I could.
Me: can you at least give me a clue or tell if she is with Sihle?
Rose: didn't she call her dad a while ago, maybe you should start there. And Menzi time is not on our side use those street smart brains I know you have don't go soft on me. With that she just disappeared into thin air. Rose was right I was slacking. I called Mr Khumalo and asked for the number that Zamo used to call him earlier, he said he'd SMS it in a few minutes. He asked if I had any leads I told none yet. We hung up. I called in a favour with one of my contacts who could trace someones info using their number phone he said he have the info for me by morning. Mind you all this is happening around 2 or 3 in the morning. I couldn't sleep anymore a lot had to be done. I decided to go make myself a hot cup of black coffee and take a quick shower and stay alert. Around 5 am while I was busy with a call with the guy who did some digging on Sihle I had asked him to do more digging and tell me what he could find. The man did his research well apparently this bastard and his wife were expecting a baby which was odd considering the guy also told Zinzi was sick and had a few months to live before she was murdered.
Me: thanks bra I'll take it from here you did that good I have a call coming in talk to you later. He hung up I answered the incoming call. It was my contact who could trace the phone number.
Me: sure mfethu tell me do you have something for me?
Caller : sure Menzi the phone belongs to a Sfiso Zwane I'll react the address right now.
Me: thanks my man ungsizile bra.
Caller: pleasure mfethu hope you find umakoti wethu.
Me: sure sbali. We hung up. I was on a roll I couldn't stop now everything was counting on me to find Zamo. I recieved the text with the address and decided to go to it and give the person a surprise visit. I got my black jeans blacks sneakers black T-shirt then topped it off with a black hoodie I chuckled to myself when I remembered how me and Nomzamo matched our outfits to go on our take down Thandi mission. I just laughed at how isthandwa sam insisted we wear matching outfits said she saw it on facebook Ey ngyakhumbula babe wam( I miss you my babe,) I snapped out of my emotional state and got down to business grabbed my gun, left a note for Nelly and took get car keys. With that I was off. I arrived in this place called down park it wasn't hard to find the exact house I expected it to be some shack somewhere, it wasn't it was a decent bond house. I parked the car and went in. I looked around to see if there wasnt anyway to break in unnoticed and luckily for me the back door was open. I heard water running so I assumed the person was taking a shower. I quietly entered making sure I look at every side of the house for any movement. I made my way down a short passage to where I assumed it was the bedrooms. I peeped in both bedrooms the first one was neatly done the second one had two little girls sleeping in it, the room was so pink. Decided to wait behind the door of the other bedroom and judging by the whistling it was a guy coming to the room I was in I pulled out my gun and waited. He walked in happily whistling I closed the door slowly behind him and put that cold metal at the back of his head. He stopped immediately.
Me: Ya! Uthuleleni manje( why are you quiet now)
Him: please whatever you want take it please don't hurt me. Please.
Me: on your knees now! With your hands behind your back and don't even think of looking of looking at me I'll blow your freaken brains off!!
He did as I told him.
Me: are you Sfiso Zwane?
Him : y-y-yes I am sir.
Me: good we off to a good start now second question do you know Sihle Madlala. He started to hesitate.
Me: yey wena phendula umbuzo( hey answer the question)
Him: yebo ngyamazi( I do know him) he hires me from time to time to do some driving for him.
Me: when is the last time he used your services?
Him : Erm it's been a while I-i-i haven't seen him. Iyangjwayela lenja ngakhokha isbhamu.
Me: wrong answer try again before you two girls fatherless. Mmm two little girls alone in a house with a killer I wonder how that would would turn out.
Him: okay okay. It was a day or two ago he was headed to an airstrip I think he was flying out of the country.
Me: who was he with?
Him: I don't know the person some pregnant lady.
Me: was She the one who used your phone to make a call.
Him: y-y-yes yes she was the one.
Me: are you sure you don't know where they were going?
Him: I swear sir on my daughters lives I have no idea but I suspect it was overseas since they were going to use a jet.
Me: kulungile write down the address of that aircraft place then you and I are done. He got up without looking behind and took a pen and piece of paper and wrote it down after he was done he raised his hand for me to take it. Took it and told him you lay flat on his stomach face down and count to 20 loudly.
Me: don't even think of getting up until you hear a car pull off ungakhohlwa I know where you live. He nodded in agreement and did as I told him I opened the door and went out quickly the same way I came in then walked To the car and got it and drove off.Nomzamo
I woke up feeling drunk you most that feeling where your body feels incredibly light nje I looked around and see I was in hospital with all sorts of machines hooked up to me. Then I remembered my baby. I touched my belly it felt soft. I began to cry I couldn't remember whether I gave birth or what happened. As I was crying Sihle walked in. Oh Nkosi not this fool not now kodwa Jeso where's that lightning of yours ishaye lomuntu ngizobanokthula( to strike this person so I can have peace)
Sihle : baby? You are awake. Shh don't cry he came over and wiped my tears I just looked over to the side.
Me: Uphi umtana Wam Sihle?
He was quiet until I turned to look at him.
Sihle : babe she's in ICU they mentioned something about her being in distress I guess it was affecting her breathing or something. Don't worry I've taken care of everything these doctors are the best our little girl will make it out of this. I looked at him yazi I felt sorry for him and this little fantasy he had created about me and my baby.
Me: can I go see her. Do the doctors speak English here?
Sihle: yeah some of them do. But the one handling your case does. I will organise a wheelchair for you so I can take you to her she's so beautiful sthandwa sam ngathi into edliwayo( my love it's like shes edible) have you thought of a name?
Me : umm no I haven't. I wasn't lying I really hadn't thought of a name for my baby girl I thought it was something I would do with Menzi close to her birth I didn't know things would turn out like this. I just looked outside the window and saw a bit of this city's foreign buildings it was nothing like my home. I felt alone, deserted and worst of all I felt trapped. I remembered my bracelet and went I looked at my wrist it was gone. Onke amathemba ami ashabalala( all my hopes were now shattered) If there is a God out there then he really must hate me. This year has been filled with nothing but heartache and pain and now my hope of being found was gone. The tears just streamed down my eyes. Sihle who was sitting quietly beside me while I was in my own thoughts brushed my arm yoh ngakhala worse.🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
