Before Taylor had fallen asleep, Jonathan wiped the make-up off of her face. He didn't know much about much make-up, but he was aware that women shouldn't sleep with it on their faces. To the best of his ability, he wiped it off using a fresh face towel in her bathroom. It was one of the hardest things he's ever had to do. She was so drunk and wouldn't keep still as she was singing a song that he couldn't quite understand. She moved her head a lot with closed eyes, but he managed to remove every bit of make-up, including her eyelashes.

Jonathan didn't necessarily feel weird about it, but it wasn't something that he had done before, though. It wasn't a norm. Sitting in a chair, watching your boss as they slept from across the room wasn't something that one would do on a regular basis. He didn't want her to wake up out of her sleep and notice that he was watching her. He knew that she would be creeped out by it, but he felt it was his duty.. He needed to make sure that she was physically alright. She could wake up and start choking, he needed to be there to help her. He put a water bottle on her nightstand and a small trashcan beside her bed, just in case.

Just a moment ago, she made it hard for him to make a decision. By the way she held him in her hand, slid it up and down, and the way she kissed him. The decision became easy and quite obvious while he was kissing her the second time. He tasted the Hennessy on her tongue again. Not right away, but he did and he gained the strength to stop her. His dick was damn near as hard as a rock but he couldn't go through with it. It was practically taking advantage of her and that's the last thing he wanted to do her or anyone for that matter. Taylor would wake up in the morning and in fact feel like she had been taken advantage of. She would be angry! He felt like she would be more angry with him than herself. He was the one that convinced her to drink and to have fun. Sure, she was an adult and could make decisions on her own, but they wouldn't be in this predicament if he had kept his mouth shut. He should have just let her vent about her relationship.

Her engagement to Calvin was the second reason why he had to put an end to this. Jonathan didn't like cheaters, mainly because he had been cheated on in the past. But even if he hadn't been, he'd still feel like cheating was selfish and idiotic. He didn't want to be the reason why their relationship failed.

His phone vibrated in his pocket, snapping him out of his thoughts. He pulled it out to see that Noelle was calling. His eyes widened a bit. In one day, he kind of forgot all about her. He immediately ignored the call in fear of the vibration being too loud. He didn't want Taylor to be disturbed. The best way to sober up was by resting. She needed it for that reason and because she had been up since early this morning.

Sent to Noelle: I'm still working. I can't talk right now.

Received from Noelle: This late?

Sent to Noelle: Yeah, it's a party with a bunch of stuck up old people.

Received from Noelle: How's that going?

Sent to Noelle: It's nothing like I expected.

Received from Noelle: Is that good or bad?

Sent to Noelle: I'll know in the morning.

Received from Noelle: Oh, well, I was just checking on you since I haven't heard from you.

Sent to Noelle: I appreciate that.

Received from Noelle: I miss you.

Jonathan cringed as he read her text. He didn't quite feel the same as she did, and he didn't want to lie to her and tell her that he misses her, too. First, she was showing her jealousy, then she wanted spend Thanksgiving with him and his family, and now she was telling him that she missed him. It was all becoming too much. He had no idea how to respond. He typed some then deleted, only to decide not reply.
