"Pregnant" the first clear blue stick read. Taylor slowly closed her eyes and released a sad sigh when the letters appeared. As soon as her eyes fluttered open, they filled with tears. It saddened her that she was pregnant- as much as as she wanted to have a child. Taking a pregnancy test was supposed to bring her joy and cause her to be a "good" anxious. Instead, it casted her with pure sadness. Taylor didn't capture Calvin's intentional reaction because she couldn't look up from the one Clear Blue stick. However, she knew that this would break his heart. It broke her heart that she would be the reason for his hurt and pain.

Looking at the pregnancy test, she thought back to Miami. Every second that she spent with Jonathan flashed across her mind. Every smile that he put upon her face. The shy giggle she released. The chills that the tip of his tongue sent up her back. Every violent and breathtaking orgasm his mouth, fingers, and dick created. Taylor remembered it all, and it saddened her that she allowed herself to step out of her six year relationship.

Saddened, but not so much regretful. How could she regret the way Jonathan smiled with his eyes when he looked at her? She never laughed so hard and smiled so much before the Miami trip. He actually listened when she spoke to him. He was attentive, he listened to understand her. She refused to admit it, but Calvin was nothing like Jonathan. He didn't listen to understand, he only listened to be able to have a response. Especially when they argued or engaged in a heated conversation. Not only that, but Calvin's eyes didn't dilate when he looked at her the way Jonathan's did. He didn't have the glow or the sparkle in his eyes. Taylor felt like no matter how long you've been with a person, they should always look at you the same way.

"Are you going to say anything?" Taylor nervously asked as she sat on the toilet. Calvin stood near the door, leaning against the counter. Minutes had gone since the results appeared and not a single word had been spoken until Taylor mustered up the courage. Calvin didn't know what to say to her, he could only look at her as she looked at the pregnancy tests. She could feel his eyes burning holes into her skin, but couldn't being herself to look up at him.

"I'm not the one that needs to be talking." Calvin finally spoke with venom in his voice. He was angry- she knew that, but he was calm. Calvin wasn't firing questions at her or breaking things, like she expected. In her mind, she deserved to be in the hot seat with question after question being thrown at her. But none of that took place. Minutes of complete silence had gone by once again, but Calvin's eyes piercing into her skin was incredibly loud. She could see the anger in his eyes when she finally looked up from the counter, she could see the confusion building in his chest when glanced at him. Only glances because she couldn't bare his eyes. Still, Calvin said nothing and that frightened her.

"Cal-" She was going to apologize as she lifted her head to look at him, but the blank look in his eyes prevented her from speaking. His eyes were so blank, as if he had no soul. There wasn't a personality.

"What?" He questioned plainly.

"I-.. I- don't know what to say." Taylor fumbled over her words. She watched as Calvin's eyes closed and he took a deep breath.

"When's the last time we had sex?" Calvin asked.

"It's been a few months-" Taylor hesitated.

"A few?? Try eight months! It's been damn near a year since we've had sex, but here you are taking three pregnancy tests- positive! Positive pregnancy test!"

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen-"

"What the fuck do you mean by you didn't mean for this to happen?!" Calvin frowned. "You clearly had unpro-.." He paused and took another deep breath because he felt himself getting angrier by the second. "unprotected sex with another man! What the fuck did you think would happen?!"
