"Ms. Anderson," Taylor heard Jonathan's voice through her the intercom in her office for what seemed like the billionth time in the last two hours. She instantly rolled her eyes, only because she already knew what he was going to say. She didn't want to take her irritation out on him because he was just doing exactly what she hired him to do.

"Yeeees?" She replied after taking a deep breath.

"Your mother is on line one, again." He informed. Taylor's mother had been calling her every hour on thee hour since they stepped foot into the office. And every hour, Taylor was "busy" doing something. Granted, she was working, but she wasn't too busy to answer her mother's call. She just didn't want to deal with whatever it was her mother was going to spring upon her.

"Tell her that I'm in a meeting, and that I'll call her back." Taylor replied without a second thought.

"You were just in a meeting two hours ago." Jonathan chuckled.

"Okay, and now I'm in another meeting." She said in a "duh" tone, with a roll of her eyes.

"But you're not, actually." He fired back. "It doesn't begin for another thirty minutes."

"She doesn't know that."

"Why don't you just pick up the phone and see what she wants?" Curiously, he asked.

"Because I don't want to." She replied with an attitude, but of course, Jonathan wasn't fazed by it. It was funny to him that she thought she could scare or intimidate him with her attitude. He was much more stronger than she once believed. It wasn't until the Miami trip that she could admit that she had met her match. Jonathan was someone that didn't easily loosen his grip with her. He was able to get her to open up and talk to him, about anything- even personal subjects. Jonathan got Taylor to let loose and let her guard down. No one has ever gotten so close to her in such a short period of time. Not even Calvin! It took him so long to even take her on a date. There were rapid pit bulls surrounding her heart, mind, spirit, and her soul.

And somehow, Jonathan managed to get through to it all. He was tremendously observant and attentive. He took an interest in the areas that the one's in her life failed to. He asked the questions that no one has ever asked- or thought of. He noticed the simplest things that even Calvin didn't. His memory was impeccable. He remembered without being reminded. He did what she wanted him to without being told or asked to. It blew her mind each and every time. His charisma opened the doors for Taylor's smile and laughter. He was able to get her realize that she was a [boss]. Taylor was his boss, obviously, but when she was feeling down, he reminded her that there was nothing in this world that could stop her.

"Why not?" He asked.

"Tell my mother that I'm in another meeting and I will call her back later on." She repeated then waited for his smart remark, but she got nothing. Frowning, she looked at the phone on her desk. She only frowned harder when Jonathan abruptly opened her office door and walked in without knocking.

"Yes, Carter. Come right on in." She said as he closed the door behind him. Jonathan disregarded her sarcasm and walked behind her desk. Looking at her as she sat back in her chair, he leaned against her desk.

"Why won't you talk to your mom?" He asked.

Taylor frown briefly. "Don't you have work to do?"

"It could be an emergency," Ignoring her again, he said. "and you're sitting here dodging her calls."

"Will you relax?" She asked with a roll of her eyes. "It's not an emergency."

"How would you know? You won't answer her calls."
