"Aight, baby." Jonathan said as he slowly opened the door of their bedroom. The bedroom that they shared at his home. At one point they were alternating between their homes but not anymore. With Taylor's mother randomly showing up without notice warranted her to just make Jonathan's home their home. Not officially, but officially. It was just better that they spent little to no time at the beach home. Jonathan didn't know that Taylor had made the choice to make his home their home, but he would be okay with it regardless.
Taylor's life wasn't necessarily a secret. They still moved and acted as if everyone knew. She knew very well how her mother and her mother's family would take the information. Her mother's side of the family would treat Jonathan and their daughters as if they were less than. She was going to protect her family from her mother's family, at all costs. If she had to lie to Jonathan about it, then so be it.
"I'm going to drop the girls off then I'll be running those errands." Jonathan continued. Serenity and Joy were set to spend the weekend with Denise. It took a couple of weeks of consistency from her. She came over to see her daughters on their scheduled days and wasn't late by even a minute. She didn't take them to Tumble Tots or soccer practice being that Taylor had that covered. However, Denise was always present for games and meets. She showcased just how apologetic she was for her absence. Tonight would be their first time spending the night with Denise.
"When are you coming back?" A groggy Taylor asked. It was twelve o'clock on a Saturday. She had just come back from a three day work trip in Atlanta, Georgia late last night, and she was tired beyond words! Jonathan was going to let her sleep for as long as she needed to.
Taylor traveled alone simply because of their daughters. School was still in session and they needed a set schedule. Not to mention their quality time with Denise- it was important. Even though, Serenity and Joy would much rather go with Taylor.
"Well, I'm going to help my aunt with Tristan then we're going to the barbershop, and lastly the gym."
"You're going to workout?" Taylor yawned.
"Well, I'm hoopin' with the boys."
"So, I'm eating dinner alone tonight?" She questioned with a roll of her eyes. When Jonathan said that he was going to play basketball or that he was going to the gym, he was gone for countless hours. Taylor was perfectly fine with him spending time away from her- she had to be. She just missed him terribly. Especially since she was traveling so much for work.
"I'll be home before dinner, babe." Jonathan chuckled.
"Okay, have a great day."
"I love you." Jonathan bent over to kiss her forehead. "You need to get up and eat. There's-"
"I ate already. Did you forget? You made breakfast burritos." Taylor reminded him. She woke up for breakfast and got back into the bed for a nap.
"No, I didn't forget but that was at eight this morning. It's noon now, babe."
"Really?" Taylor asked in complete shock and like clock work, her stomach growled.
"Hungry?" Jonathan smirked, making Taylor smile.
"Will you make me-"
"There's a BLT with extra BLT, very light mayo, and fries on the table." Jonathan interrupted which brought the widest smile upon Taylor face. A BLT seemed to be the only thing Taylor seemed to wanted for lunch. And oddly enough, she still wanted orange slices on the side, just like she did when at work.
"I would have brought it up to you, but I want you to get out of the bed." He continued. "But wait until I'm out of the house, so the girls don't get distracted. Okay?"
