"Where's Gil? And I'm asking you why you are here?" Clarence asked me again.
Ano naman ang pakialam niya kung ano ang ginagawa ko rito?
"He's cleaning himself," I said instead.
"Cleaning himself? Why?" ulit niya sa sinabi ko.
I just shrugged my shoulder.
She looked at me from head to toe. She raised her brows while she's gazing at my body. Her eyes went on my face again. She smirked maliciously.
"Are you planning to put him in your list?" she said out of a sudden.
I didn't get her.
"What do you mean, Clarence?" kalmadong tanong ko.
Mapang-uyam siyang ngumisi sa akin.
"Oh? You don't know what I mean?" she put her right palm on her mouth as if she's shocked.
I rolled my eyes at her.
"Do people ask if they already know what other people means?" sabi ko.
She walked her way to the sofa. Umupo siya sa puwestong inuupuan ko rin kanina.
"Stop acting so stupid, will you?" untag niya.
Nainis ako. No one ever talked and gave me that word. Stupid her face. I crossed my arms on my chest while staring at her with furrowed brows.
"I am not. Baka ikaw?" naka-ngusong tanong ko.
She stood up.
"What did you just say?!" mariing tanong niya.
Tch. Pikon.
Kinuha ko ang bag ko sa lamesang kaharap namin.
"May sinabi ba ako?" tanong ko sa kanya. "Wala naman, hind ba? I only asked you if you're the one who's acting stupid between us," naka-ngising sabi ko.
She lost her temper. Bigla na lamang siyang lumapit sa akin at akmang aabutin niya ako nang mabilis akong lumayo mula sa kanya.
"Malandi ka!" inis na sigaw niya.
What the... Ako? Malandi?! Aren't she pertaining about herself?! What a bitch.
But...hmmm, might as well ratify her claim.
I stood straight.
"Yes, I am," matapang na sabi ko. "So better wait until I seduce Gil so he'll be mine this time," dagdag ko.
I know she's mad now. Ang ugat sa kanyang noo ay halata na dahil sa pagpipigil niya.
"And by the way, he asked me earlier. He asked me if I can love him again because he do love me. He want us back. He want me back," I told her.
Kita ko ang inis sa kanyang mga mata dahil sa sinabi kong iyon. I didn't have any plan on saying those words to her, but she triggered me. She made me say it in front of her.
Matamis akong ngumiti sa kanya kahit na ang totoo ay naiinis na rin ako. I smiled sweetly at her before turning my back from her.
Sinimulan ko na ang humakbang hanggang sa marating ko rin ang pintuan. I stopped. Muli akong lumingon sa kanya na ngayon ay nakatitig pa rin sa akin.
I waved my hand.
"It was nice meeting you, Clarence," I said before I finally went out of Gil's unit.
I was walking in the hallway. Mag-isa lamang akong naglalakad patungo sa elevator. Pinindot ko iyon para mabuksan. I entered. I pressed the ground floor. Hinintay ko iyon hanggang sa tuluyan ng makababa.
