It was another stormy night in the neighborhood and Jennie couldn't handle the sound of crashing thunder one bit. She constantly jumped in her spot even when the smallest of booms would occur she would be underneath the blankets looking for an escape. She would whimper at how scary it was to endure this hell. Shivers would run down her spine with every minute that passed by. She couldn't fall asleep nor did she even want to try. She didn't want to wake anybody else up in order to not come off annoying.
She eventually heard her door open though, turning in her spot to see Chaeyoung in her pajamas, a clear tired look on her face. She wanted to apologize for waking her but Chaeyoung never let her spoke as she walked up to her bed, keeping her tired eyes on the terrified Jennie who was in bed shaken up. She opened her mouth to say something but Chaeyoung just slipped under the covers next to the terrified girl, wrapping an arm around her waist to pull her close and whisper the song that Jennie had written all one night days ago.
Chaeyoung couldn't help but learn the beautiful lyrics and sing them to Jennie whenever she was in distress or anxious in any way, shape, or form. Chaeyoung let Jennie calm down more and more with each note that she sung by her ear. It caused her to even smile, humming each chord and lyric by her ear until Jennie turned in her spot again, facing Chaeyoung. She was looking at her in awe. "How do you know all the lyrics?" She asked surprised that she did know the lyrics but was pleased at the same time. She even managed to smile at Chaeyoung as the storm continued outside the room.
Chaeyoung noticed the light glint in her eyes, she gave her a small smile running her right hand along her side feeling the shirt underneath her hand that covered her skin wrinkle up and down. "I couldn't help myself when I first heard you sing it. I wanted to listen to you for as long as I could and decided to record it," she let out a light chuckle and looked down slightly clearly embarrassed that she was confessing such a personal matter. "I put it on repeat, learned every lyric, and found myself loving the entire thing. It's a beautiful song that should be heard by many people Jennie."
Jennie felt her cheeks begin to heat up at Chaeyoung's words, she snuggled even closer to her. Wanting her to feel how exactly warm she had made her feel. It was nice to hear such kind words come from Chaeyoung. It almost made her believe in that second this song should be heard by everyone. But if she were being honest she just wanted to leave it as Chaeyoung's, as her soothing voice made her begin to think more about her feelings. "Are you sure? I would need to record it and it would take a lot of my time, but I would be able to release it in less than a month or so. But are-"
"Jennie, I would wait for entirety just to hear your voice coming through the radio," she let out and Jennie only smiled as she moved her hand to Chaeyoung's cheek. New thoughts and feelings beginning to cloud her train of thought. She had never thought so deeply about Chaeyoung in that way. But right now she was beginning to fall into another place with her clouding her thoughts. She was beginning to want for Chaeyoung, want to touch Chaeyoung over and over again, plant kiss after kiss wherever she touched and admired. She let out a sigh as she felt Chaeyoung begin bury herself into her hand, the feelings never once subsiding.
"I can't stop thinking about you in that way. You're always here for me, tending to my every need and not caring one bit if I lash out or get scared of thunderstorms like tonight," she confessed not wondering where the hell did that come from. But as she noticed Chaeyoung light up she let out a sigh of relief, she clearly had dodged a bullet of heartbreak. "I can't stop thinking about you," she let out quietly as she felt Chaeyoung scoot a bit closer to her, almost telling her that she couldn't stop thinking about her as well.
"It's because I care about you with my entire being," she began as she pressed their foreheads together, she could feel Jennie's cool shaky breath run down her lips. "Nobody makes me feel the way you do, and I want to act on my feelings, but I want to make sure that you're okay with that," she let out and she looked at Jennie who just gave her a light nod. She began to move impossibly closer to her, pressing their noses together, their lips brushing slightly. The minuscule distance apart disappeared when Chaeyoung finally connected their lips together in a deep and emotionally pleasing kiss.
Even as the storm continued to boom outside the room, Chaeyoung held Jennie close and kept their lips together in the pleasing kiss. Their bodies flushed together for a good duration of the storm, the bitter taste of salt seeping past their wet lips throughout it all. It all ends when Jennie's in desperate need of breath, a small smile on her face as she pulled back to gaze deeply into Chaeyoung's hazy eyes once again. She could see the sparkle in her eyes and she couldn't help but let out a light chuckle to which Chaeyoung frowned at.
"I don't think I'm terrified of thunderstorms anymore," she let out and Chaeyoung began to chuckle with her as she pulled the girl closer to her. Wanting her to know that she was happy she had helped in her fear of thunderstorms.
