With Kate having shooed away the police officer Kakyoin, Anne, Kate and himself were on their way to buy train tickets. Suddenly, Anne ran off ahead and stopped at a little stand, selling ice cream and various other refreshments. "Can I get some ice cream, please?" the girl asked. "Welcome." the vendor greeted, "Ya know, ice cream is pretty good but this baby here...chilled coconut juice, nothing in the world like it. How about it?" He offered Anne a coconut. Both Anne and Kate looked like they wanted some and Jotaro had to admit, a little refreshment would be nice. "I guess we could try it. Four then." the delinquent lifted his hand and signalled the vendor. "Thankya much. That'll be twelve dollars." "Hey jerk, what are you trying to pull. Make it six!" Anne demanded. "Anne, you're going about it the wrong way." Kate declared and turned to the vendor herself. "You see, none of us have that much money. Surely you could give us a discount." Kate purred and discreetly and seemingly unintentionally flashed her cleavage a bit. The vendor basically drooled. "For you? Always!" "That should cover it." Kakyoin paid the man and the girls happily started drinking the coconut juice.

As the red-head was about to put his wallet back into his pocket, it was snatched away by a pickpocket. Kakyoin sent Hierophant Green after the thief, grabbing him by the ankle. "So, you dumb, useless, disgusting piece of shit. Who the hell do you think you are?!" After hearing Kakyoin say that, Jotaro and the girls turned around to see what was happening. "I'll make you wish you were never born!" Kakyoin slammed the pickpocket's face against his knee, breaking his nose. "Kakyoin." the delinquent spoke warningly. "This is not like him...Usually he'd go about this a lot more elegantly..." he pondered. A quick glance to the girls showed that Kate likely thought the same while Anne looked shocked. Meanwhile the red-haired teen pulled the thief up by his hair. "Get up! You vile little cockroach dick, do I look like easy pickings to you?! And now you feel the pain...How dare you touch my wallet with the same grimy fingers that wipe that filthy ass! I can't let you get away with something like that now, can I?" the angry teen had lifted the thief onto his shoulders bending the man, as if wanting to break his back. "Hey! What are you doing Kakyoin? You'll kill the bastard!" Jotaro hoped that maybe his friend would come to his senses. "You're taking it too far, Kakyoin. Stop it, that's enough." Kate added. "Oh my god, a back breaker?" Anne talked to herself, "Such a brutal move! And he's using such filthy language. It's not like him at all." Kakyoin didn't listen to a word they said. "Do something!" Kate implored him, grabbing a hold of his sleeve. She was right. He should have stepped in from the very beginning. "Kakyoin! Now, cut it out dammit! You're losing control!" he pushed the red-head away and kneeled down next to the man who had been dropped to the floor, "You're acting like such a bastard. Something's not right. What the hell has gotten into you?" Kakyoin tapped off some dirt on his clothes, "That hurt, you know. You didn't have to shove me around like you're the one in charge." "He had to!" Kate came to the delinquent's defense, "You would have killed him, had he not stopped you!" "That man tried to steal my wallet. He was committing a crime." Kakyoin roughly snatched one of the coconuts Anne was holding, out of her hands, "And criminals should be punished." He took a sip. "Tell me, am I wrong, Jotaro?" "Of course they should be punished. According to their crimes! Killing someone over a stolen wallet?! Really?! You would have committed a bigger crime here?!" Kate hissed before Jotaro could say anything. "This guy..." he thought.

"What are you glaring at? You know the look in your eyes is awfully hostile, you two." Kakyoin started, "What's wrong? Why are you so upset? You couldn't possibly be thinking about ending our friendship over a little tussle with a thief, now would you? You're acting as if I've done something unforgivable."

"A little tussle?" Kate hissed quietly, while the thief came to his senses and tried to crawl away. While he and Kate were keeping an eye on Kakyoin, a few kids ran up to a tree, "Look! It's a beetle." "Awesome!" "There's four of them up there!" Kakyoin turned to look at them. Kate was about to step forward, ready to fight her friend should he suddenly decide to attack the kids. Jotaro held her back. He wanted to observe first. Kakyoin suddenly chuckled, "Jojo." he said, as if he was greeting an old friend, "You're making way to big a deal out of this! I'm just having a bad day. I'm so exhausted from the trip, it's put me in such a bad mood." he tried to explain. "Just a bad mood, huh?" "Seems to me you felt pretty good." he retorted before he turned around, "Jiji and Avdol think it's a good idea to head to India by train. So let's buy those tickets. We leave tomorrow. We'll take the cable car to Singapore Station to reserve tickets." Kate looked up at him. A silent exchange between them. "We'll keep an eye on him." Kate understood, nodding her head and followed him. He noticed that she stuck relatively close, probably not sure how to feel about Kakyoin acting so out of character.
