"What happened to his body? There're tons of holes all over the guy! He looks like the cartoon cheese you see on Tom and Jerry!" Polnareff freaked. "And there's not a drop of blood near any of these wounds." added the old man, "How on earth was this man killed?" he wondered. "Be careful." Jotaro warned, "If there wasn't a Stand user here before, you can bet there's one here now." Mr. Joestar sprinted off, "Everyone! Get in the car! We're leaving this town right now!" However, he didn't jump inside the car, instead he had run into the opposite direction and jumped over a little wall, falling towards an iron fence. He saved himself with Hermit Purple, an iron tip digging into his back, screaming in pain. "Hey. Old man." Jotaro spoke up, "What the hell are you doing? You crazy?" Mr. Joestar had somehow pulled himself off the fence and slid down in relief. "Huh? No! What do you mean, what am I doing? The car was here just a minute ago!" he defended himself. "Huh? What are you talking about? We just parked the car over there and walked." declared Polnareff. "What?! But...just now....I could have sworn that..." the old man stammered, then abruptly stopped. The sound of a cane meeting with the ground echoed hollowly through the air. An old woman approached you.
"Well, hello, good sirs. I see you're travellers. I'm afraid with this fog it's dangerous to leave town now. There are many cliffs you know. I run my own bed and breakfast, not far from here. If you'd like, why not stay there for the night? There's plenty of room for everyone. I'll even give you a healthy discount." she offered. "Finally! A normal person." Polnareff cheered. "That's very nice of you to offer, however, how did you find us...didn't look like you bumped into us by chance..." you inquired. "Oh, I'm sorry, dear. I didn't see you there behind all those bulky men. My, you're quiet beautiful." the woman answered. "Flattery won't work on me, lady." you growled. "Kate, be nice! She probably wondered what all the commotion was about and came to check." Polnareff defended the woman. You narrowed your eyes, not trusting the woman one bit. "We have to assume the Stand user is in this town. With this fog there's nothing that we can do. He could be next to us and we wouldn't know." stated Kakyoin. "Yeah, so keep your guard up." you added grimly, not taking your eyes off the old woman. "You know guys, I realise no one has attacked us quiet, yet, but damn, this town is creepy." muttered Polnareff. The old, wrinkly woman hit the ground with her cane again catching the attention of the males, "Come on, this way, Master Joestar. That building over there is my bed and breakfast. Follow me, and I'll show you to your rooms. Try not to fall behind. I know it doesn't look like much, but it has history. About twenty years ago one of the 007 movies was filmed here, and when John Lennon of the Beatles visited the country he spent the entire time in our little hotel." she declared. "What a bunch of crap." you thought but apparently Polnareff fell for it, "What? Seriously?" he asked. "No. I was just pulling your leg, young man. Still, it is a quiet lovely hotel. I've put my heart and soul into it." the woman chuckled, before going on to say that there were no other guest at the moment, so your group could pick the dinner menu. "Would you prefer meat? If not , I've fresh fish available." "Meat is fine, thank you." you barked at the woman. "Kate, what's up with you? You're so irritable today." wondered Mr. Joestar. You glared at him, letting him know that if he said another word you would not hesitate to rip out his vocal folds. "Do you think she's on her...you know?" Polnareff leaned over to Kakyoin and mumbled into his ear. "I don't think so. She's been talking about this ominous feeling, so she's probably just on edge. I'm sure you would too, if you'd been feeling that for a while." explained Kakyoin.
Had you heard Polnareff you would probably have shaved off his, oh so precious hair, but luckily for him, you didn't. You were just glad that Jotaro was suspicious of the old hag, too. "Wait a second, grandma." he said, "Before, you called me 'Joestar', didn't you? How'd you know my name?" You noticed the woman freezing up for a moment, before she turned around and hastily said, "Come now, that man next to you said 'Mr. Joestar' earlier. I may be old but my ears still work." "You mean me?" Polnareff pointed at himself, "I think I said it, but I'm not sure." "Yes, you did, sir." the woman said. "No, he didn't." you thought, glaring at the woman. "When you've been working in this business for as many years as I have you really learn to memorise people's names quickly." the hag chuckled again, "So, I'm sure of it." You scoffed, causing Jotaro, who had been sceptically mustering the old woman, to look to you. He roughly patted your head, hoping to calm you down. You took a deep breath, for now you had other things to worry about. "By the way, Ma'am, what happened to your left hand?" inquired Polnareff. "Oh this?" the woman looked at her hand, "Just a minor burn. Nothing more. I suppose it's just my old age. I accidently spilled boiling water on it." she answered. "Oh, don't be silly, Madam. You look hardly a day over forty and that's god's honest truth. What do you say, you and I get dinner alone?" the French responded. You opened your mouth to leave your own comment about god but a large hand on your shoulder stopped you. Jotaro gave your shoulder a squeeze before letting go. The old woman laughed in response to Polnareff, "Oh you naughty boy! You can't tease an old woman like that!" Both, the woman and Polnareff laughed.
