"We're about to hit the Indo-Pakistani border. I guess it's time to say goodbye to India." commented Kakyoin. "You know I had mixed feelings about the country at first but now I kinda miss the hustle and bustle of Calcutta, and frenetic chaos of the Ganges." added Mr. Joestar. "I'll be coming back one of these days. I owe it to Avdol to give him a proper burial." Polnareff declared and the mood in the car turned solemn. "The road's getting narrower." the French noticed. An old red car that was driving in front of you was going rather slow, at walking be to be precise and the dust it swirled up came in through the window, causing you to cough. "Quit driving so slow, idiot! Outta the way!" Polnareff complained and then declared he was going to pass the guy and squeezed through the gap between the car to the left and the high wall of a dessert cliff to the right. "Polnareff, calm down!" warned Kakyoin. The French in turn was happy about the four-wheel drive. "You know, that crazy manoeuvre you pulled just might have damaged that poor car." Mr. Joestar. "Yeah? Your point?" the French answered. "I'm saying we don't need anymore trouble now. I'm wanted because of what happened in Varanasi. I'd like to get across the border in one piece." the silver fox explained. Suddenly Polnareff slammed on the breaks, jostling you all forward. "Why'd you stop?" wondered Kakyoin while the old man chastised the French, "I just told you! A crash could be disastrous!" You mumbled something about how you would have been the better choice after all, earning the stink eye from Mr. Joestar. "I know that! Just look who's standing there!" At the sight Jotaro pulled down his hat, muttering his catchphrase. A certain black haired, tomboy girl stood at the side of the road waiting for a car to hitchhike. You leaned out the window, "Well, look who it is! Move your cute little butt over here!" you beckoned Anne over opening the car door for her. "We shouldn't, Kate. It's too dangerous." commented the old man. "Better us than a creepy stranger." you retorted pulling the girl inside and placing her on your lap, wrapping your arms tight around her. "You know Anne, when I said you always meet twice in life, I didn't mean so soon." you joked.

The car ride had resumed for a while and Anne was talking about random stuff. "I mean, come on, I'm a girl. Soon I'll be doing girl things like wearing a bra and doing my nails to get the attention of boys. I'd look pathetic wandering around the world when I'm that age! It's the only chance I have to be free and see the world. You know what I mean?" sheepishly she added, "Look, I feel bad for lying about going to see my dad in Singapore, but let's just forget about that." You wanted to say something but the car you had passed earlier was now directly behind you, honking ad rushing Polnareff. "Hey, it's the car we passed. Looks like he's in a hurry now." commented Jotaro. "Let him pass, okay?" suggested the old man. The French rolled down the window and signaled the car behind to pass. When it passed, you saw the windows were so dirty you couldn't see through. The car was overall in a shabby condition. The red paintwork was dull and dirty. Once it was before you the car slowed down. Dust swirled in through the window, causing you to cough. "What's he trying to do? I let you pass, now hurry up and go already!" Polnareff complained and tried to pass but couldn't cause he lacked the space. "He's probably mad from your little manoeuvre earlier and these are the consequences." stated Kakyoin. Jotaro leaned forward, placing his hand on Polnareff's seat, "So, did you catch a look at the driver's face?" "No, the windows were covered in dust. Couldn't see a thing." explained the French. "Neither could I." stated the delinquent. "I've got a bad feeling about this." you muttered and the old man advised Polnareff to be very careful. Now the car before you signaled Polnareff to pass. "Now he wants me to pass. Looks like he realised how shitty that piece of junk is. You should have stayed behind me in the first place, dumbass! Comin' through!" Polnareff sped up and passed the car but in the next moment a huge truck came into your direction and it was too late to dodge it. "Where'd that come from?" screamed Polnareff. "No use! Hold on!" added Kakyoin. You wer just about to crash with the truck when Jotaro punched the truck with Star Platinum, causing your car to be pushed out of the way. You flew through the air and landed surprisingly safely on the side of the road. "That was close!" stated Polnareff. Anne had dug her nails into your arms, which had tightened around the girl. Both of you were panting, trying to calm your racing hearts. "If it weren't for Star Platinum's power we would have been crushed beneath that like a tin can!" commented the French. "He's gone!" noted Mr. Joestar, "Where did that bastard go?" "Looks like he kept going. I think the driver could have been one of the Stand users. Then again it could just have been some sick bastard." Jotaro pondered. "I don't know about the Stand users but he definitely had it out for us." you stated. "Of course he's one of Dio's lackeys! We were almost road kill, for god's sake!" Polnareff was still agitated. "But why didn't he just attack us with his Stand when he had the chance?" wondered Kakyoin. "Anyway, we gotta keep heading to Pakistan. Be on guard, if someone comes after us again we make him eat our dust." declared the old man and Polnareff started the engine. "What should we do about that truck?" wondered the red-haired, "Star Platinum left it a wreck. It won't be going anywhere." "That's easy." declared the delinquent, "We pretend we never saw it. Let's get going." Anne looked at him in awe. You whispered into her ear, "Are we developing a crush?" you teased. Anne blushed, "I'm not." she whispered back. "Sure." you giggled. "What's so funny?" Jojo inquired. "Nothing." you and Anne said simultaneously and giggled again.
